Lumbering forward, bearing its entire weight down with every movement, the white sasquatch forgo walking upright and rushed Edrick down like a frenzied gorilla would, the refinement of a superior, sapient mind was simply absent, the cavern’s master was a beast, smarter than its peers, but a feral creature nonetheless, its territory was invaded by another male, and it simply would not turn a blind eye to such a transgression.

It was the undoubted ruler of these parts of the woods, all of the female sasquatches were only for him to mate with, and the challengers were to be made into food, any children that were not his would be devoured as well, the white sasquatch knew no compromise and always did thing in the manner that its instincts judge the most proper.

The dark-furred sasquatch might look odd, not smell exactly right, and appear a slight bit different- It may be exactly like itself, but that did not discourage the master of this area from fighting head-on, not that it knew any other manner to do things.

Roaring loudly, it charged right at Anoteros, intending to slam its entire weight into the foolish challenger, but instead of meeting the charge and trying to prove that he was the strongest in sheer might, the dark beast sidestepped his adversary, and kicked it against the sides of the ribs.

Growling, the white sasquatch, hastily stopped its momentum and spun right around to face Edrick again, clicking its tongue inside of its mouth repeatedly, the creature narrowed both eyes and stood upright, raising one hand up and basically throwing itself alongside the strike toward Anoteros, palm impacting the ground with a loud bang.

The territory owner was taller and larger than Edrick was, so it held the advantage in both reach and pure brawn, as evidenced by how easily a slap left crack upon the stone, the strike wasn’t anything thoughtful, if you ask a small child to slap the ground, they might just do the same motion as this guy, and might even throw themselves alongside it as well, but Anoteros’s movements were otherwise much different from what it had expected from another sasquatch.

Firstly, there were only two reasons for male sasquatches to fight one another, the first was territory, which was rare as they rarely claimed any amount of land for themselves and instead roamed around at all times.

The second was for the right to mount a female first, and as such, confrontations were usually done in a simple fashion, they would simply brawl and decide who was the strongest in this manner, usually, these fights did not end up in any bloodshed or serious injury, the white sasquatch was an exception who had taken a liking to the flesh of its own kind and always sought feed itself that way.

What it was seeing from the dark sasquatch was instead more reminiscent of the few small, hairless apes that had wandered on its territory a few times, these guys weren’t too bad to the taste, but were way too small to warrant going after on the regular.

Especially since they had the strange habit of making weird movements like those instead of just fighting normally.

The black beast picked up another stone and threw it with force, this time aiming at the white sasquatch’s feet, making jump up whilst moving away just to be sure, which was then he decided to actually fight like a proper sasquatch and surged forward, leaping onto the cavern master’s chest, gripping onto its fur and repeatedly striking it in the face with elbow strikes.

With an enraged bellow, the white beast grabbed the challenger and threw him away with much force, only for him to instantly get back up and rush forward again as the larger sasquatch was still reeling for the heavy strike, it had not expected the opponent to actually be capable of hitting that hard, the previous challengers had never managed to do more that leave bruises no matter what they did.

Right now, it actually felt hazy however, raising its thick arms to protect itself, as Edrick tackled right into the partly dazed beast, following with savage strikes to the white sasquatch’s abdomen, and tearing at his opponent, ripping out handfuls of dirty white fur.

With a swing, the great beast swatted away the black sasquatch and ran to crush Edrick against the ground, this time bringing its enclosed fist down, only to miss against as the target rolled away, stealthily grabbing a rock off the ground and chucking it right at the white beast’s face, hitting one of its eyes, not quite enough to actually blind it, but that definitely hurt as it struck the ground repeatedly, making the surroundings quake hard enough for Edrick to stop moving as he risked losing his balance otherwise.

Baring its teeth, the territory holder took in a big breath, Edrick himself felt like he had an idea what was going to happen, but so did his currently enhanced bestial instincts, as he brought his hands up to his ears, the white sasquatch emitting a roar that was nothing like what it had shown before, that thing made Anoteros’s bone quiver as vibrations travelled through his whole body, the pure force wasn’t enough to do serious damage on its own however, only Edrick’s eardrums had been at a risk of receiving real damage, but his muscles were not quite responsive immediately after.

The white sasquatch did not instantly move to strike however coughing and having to catch its breath beforehand.

‘I don’t even know if that will work- But to hell with it!’ he restrained himself from laughing like a madman and brought out the potion of fortitude he had earned just recently, gulping it down and throwing the vial away.

His constitution was slightly improved, and as he had hoped, it somewhat brought a refreshing effect over his entire body, nothing extraordinary, the effects of the roar were not gone, but enough for him to feel confident in going in again, rushing forward as the larger ape’s feral face visibly contorted into an expression of incomprehension.

Not that it was noticeable, but Anoteros was having a better time discerning sasquatch things due to his cultivation and current transformation, not that it mattered, as moments afterwards, both of his feet sunk into his opponents face as he hit the uncivilised created with a dropkick, both of them fell hard on the ground as a result, but the receiver was in a much worse shape.

The moment it tried to rise up, Edrick kicked at its elbow and then stomped on its head thrice before moving behind the white sasquatch and pulling it up by the fur, wrapped his arms around the beast, one hand on the chin and the other atop its head.

Groggily trying to wrench out of Edrick’s grasp, the true sasquatch was lacking in strength right now.

Anoteros growled and punched the creature on the head again, he stared up at the dense canopy and the sunlight peering through, with a sudden movement, he snapped the sasquatch lord’s neck, slaying the regal beast.

Edrick sat down and tapped on the corpse’s shoulder.

“Nice fight, pretty good for a beast” he said, this confrontation could have gone much worse if the white sasquatch had not been thoroughly confused and stuck in its ways, but that was a part of fighting, what was in one’s head often times played as much of a part as one’s physical strength and skill.
