Fingmi received a nice, warm bath and had a special healing cream applied all over her bruised body. By the end of it, though, her legs remained somewhat wobbly due to the brutal pounding she had been subjected to for so long. Nonetheless, she was mostly fine… Physically fine, at least.

“T-Thank you for the help”

“No need to thank us. We are just fulfilling our duties as maids of our Master. You know where the Nursery Wing is located, right? Go there and find Muxing. Now that you are carrying Master’s seed within you, it is best if you stay near her. As the Head of the Nursery, she’ll know what is best for you and will be able to help when the big day comes”

“I understand…”

Fingmi wasn’t too pumped about what had been planted within her, but she had no choice but to see this to term now. She was stuck inside this residence, after all, and her best hope was that as the so-called seed grew, her master’s future visits would at least grow less rough… 

“Don’t look so damned sad, Fingmi. This is an immense privilege that our Master has given you. The number of people who have gotten to carry his superior seed can be counted on the fingers of one hand so far. Some people would worship him like a god to get what was granted to you”

Xiaolie remained far more antagonistic compared to Jingyi, but the sentiment she expressed was definitely shared by all maids. They didn’t care what their master would plant within them. Even if it was a feral monstrosity, they would feel blessed to be allowed to carry his noble seed.

So to see Fingmi clearly act like it was a terrible thing that had happened to her felt greatly insulting to the patriarch’s authority and benevolence.

“Remember… You only got a little bit roughed up. Uncrested toys don’t usually receive such gentle treatment. Hell, I wouldn’t mind if he broke my bones while entertaining himself with me! Don’t forget that you are being extremely lucky and fortunate on all fronts, Fingmi”

“No need to berate her so much, Xiaolie. Fingmi will one day look back on this moment and realise that she was foolish. She’ll come to understand how much she truly loves our Master”

“I hope you’re right…”

Fingmi lowered her head toward the two maids.

They were well above her in the hierarchy, after all… She then headed toward the Nursery Wing as she had been told to by both her master and the two maids. She had never met Muxing directly, as her duties were mostly focused on cleaning the main areas of the residence. Fingmi was not considered skilled enough to clean an important area like the Nursery Wing.

This wing of the residence felt rather odd to her. It was incredibly large, furnished with the equipment to take care of what felt like hundreds of offspring. However, the personnel was still very small, as the recruitment of maids wasn’t a quick process. Anoteros was clearly incredibly careful about who he took in and where they were assigned within the residence.

As such, apart from Muxing, there was only one other Nursery Maid, and currently, no designated Bearing Maid–Although it could be argued that Muxing filled in this category as well.

To simplify, Nursery Maids were first and foremost caretakers for the offspring, while Bearing Maids were specialised in being bred over and over again to produce the maximum amount of ‘lesser’ offspring.

For now, the Nursery Wing was still inactive. The activities intended for it had yet to begin, but the skeleton of the structure was built and ready to go, which made the place feel hollow and empty to an abnormal level.

Fingmi eventually ran into the only other maid of this wing. A girl without a name, or rather… She did have a name, but had been told that it no longer mattered. She was now just one of many nameless maids… It might not seem like much, but any maid whose name was actually known and used had an obviously higher status compared to the rest.

Maids with names were maids the master had personally picked and trained, while the nameless maids were brought in through a recruitment process to purely do certain jobs. They were all vetted by the master, but it was far less personal than with the named maids… Nonetheless, overall, all maids received the same benefits.

They all had a nice room that they did not have to share with anyone else, they were clothed and fed for free, and most of all… They all had the privilege of serving Edrick Lucien Anoteros and could sometimes enjoy this benefit more closely by using their bodies to serve him.

Fingmi did not understand how it was possible for so many women to find such fulfilment in subservience. They received great benefits, but there was no salary whatsoever. Most concerningly, they couldn’t leave. Ever… They were stuck here, and they knew it–But no one seemed to find any problem with this.

In fact, they seemed to love it.

Fingmi had talked with most of the Housemaids, and they themselves spoke of the fact that they had been promised salaries and such, but that they didn’t care about this anymore–That they had realised that submitting to the residence’s patriarch was something worth more than themselves.

To Fingmi, it all felt like a cult.

They didn’t even care that their names were no longer important. They found their occupation as Housemaids, Kitchen Maids, or Outdoor Maids to be more important than their very own, unique names.

The same was true for the Nursery Maid, who directed Fingmi to find Muxing.

The Head of the Nursery Wing was a wide-hipped, young blonde woman who had a red uniform that was slightly different from that of the other maid to show her rank. Strangely enough, despite all maids being basically playthings for the master, the uniforms were all very conservative and utility-focused. 

It was clear that Muxing’s uniform was thought to perfectly accommodate a pregnant belly and other growths brought about by pregnancy.

“H-Hello, Miss Muxing… I am… I am Fingmi. I was told to come find you because M-Master planted his seed within me…”

“Nice to meet you, Fingmi! Did Master really do that? Congratulations! Oh, I know it must be scary to be given such a mission out of the blue, but I guarantee you that there is nothing more fulfilling to perform as a follower of our Master!”

Muxing placed her hand against Fingmi’s back, and then against her stomach, taking her appearance in.

“Mmh… Short, petite, inexperienced, and uncrested? Did Master tell you what exactly his seed contained?”

“N-No… He just said that it wasn’t human…”

“Ah, seems like you’re being tested, then! Don’t you worry. When it comes to birthing non-humans, I have experience!”

At least, it seemed like Fingmi would be able to take a break from all the housework…
