“Oh hey Edrick! Wanna play a game?” Tusk and the others were sitting at the poker table, like usual, making one wonder when these guys worked to earn the money they were betting.

“Not today” he casually responded, heading directly for the storeroom with the large barrels, and once hidden from sight and ears, the barman spoke up.

“Sir… The guards came to ask questions about Golden Teeth…”

“And?”

“Are you not worried that they might be suspecting you?”

“Why would I be worried about this?” completely ignoring the barman’s concerns, who was so shocked by the nonchalance that he was actually doubting his initial belief that Edrick had been the one to kill Golden Teeth and his goons.

“A-Alright… Have fun with Luxuli then, I guess…”

“By the way, I am going to take her out into town” Anoteros scratched her his neck as the man stopped and turned to look at him with an expression so pale that one wouldn’t be blamed for thinking that he was a corpse.

“Sir! You can’t do this, what if people see her?!”

With the bag in hand, he descended the stairs after shutting the door behind him, finding Luxuli sitting on the edge of her bed, holding a pillow like a plushy.

She turned her head to the side, seemingly having already realised that it was Anoteros by the sound of his heavy footsteps.

“Hello…” she greeted, not quite certain how to view him after the last time.

The demon girl looked down at the bag as Edrick plopped it down in front of her.

“I got you some clothes weaved from that Mummy Spider Silk, put something warm on, I am taking you out to eat” 

“Huh? Taking me out to eat? But- But why?”

Anoteros leaned forward and moved her snow white hair behind her ear.

“To have a little date, of course… I want to know more about you”

Luxuli looked down, his smile was unsettling, but his voice was strangely soothing.

“You want to take me on a date and then…?”

“And then we’ll see”

“…” the demoness felt weird.

“…Alright…”
