Chapter 12: Burrow Strike

When Nyxara returned, she was shocked to discover that Myles was sitting at the dominion chair.

The dominion chair was a black-metal throne in the center of the chamber. Its purpose was torture.

However, when Myles sat, with his wings folded now, as though he had learned how to control them when she was away, Nyxara thought she was not staring at a prisoner.

Myles leaned his right cheeks on his right hand with its elbow on the armrest. His expression was ambiguous, as though the world rested on his shoulders.

He appeared carefree, but at the same time, the aura he exuded seemed to be ready anytime there was jeopardy.

His eyes soon moved upward and landed at her, and her heart skipped a beat.

He asked, “What’s wrong?”

Nyxara was taken aback and immediately tried to regain her composure.

Myles frowned. “Why did he incite a revolt with their low level ranks?”

Nyxara said, “He said that he just wanted us to inform us about their unjust treatment, not coming from us, but the Lashfiends who supervised them. We also imprisoned them.”

“So, you didn’t think of forgiving them?”

Nyxara shrugged. “The collateral damage he caused with his friends was beyond to be forgiven. They can’t pay it, so they deserve the death sentence. However, his families and other crawlers were not treated unjustly and even received compensation from the Lashfiends.”

Myles nodded.

He stood up and grabbed the crawler, dragging him towards the dominion chair.

Nyxara was lost for words, but closed the door and remained standing. Since Myles himself did not ask for privacy, she curiously remained inside, wanting to know how Myles experimented with the prisoner.

He scrutinized the crawler for a while and when he spotted something, he grinned.

The crawler’s eyes were tiny and almost blind, but Myles perceived his gaze was directed at him.

He smiled, “Repeat after me. Vorash. Kael. Nethrux. Zaal’eth.]

The crawler’s eyes widened. He was in disbelief that a demon uttered four words demon name.

Out of curiosity, he uttered the four words demon name slowly.

When he reached the third word, Myles asked the voice inside his mind:

“Do all demons have the same location as their demonic core?”

[Not all. But the race of a demon in front of you does not belong to the same unique demon race who have different locations of demonic core.]

Once the demon uttered the fourth word, Myles suddenly changed the form of his right hand into a claw and extended and sharpened his nails with his demonic energy.

He abruptly shoved right claw below the crawler’s navel, instantly grabbing his demonic core.

The crawler was in shock, but the pain instantly coursed through his body, causing him to let out a shrieking piercing noise.

However, Myles was unbothered.

“Please, consume and digest his core now.”
