Chapter 31: Nyxara’s Surprise

Compared to Nyxara’s charm, the Guardian of Scarlet Bond’s charm already erased his consciousness.

Myles’ lust also clouded his mind and it was all directed at the Guardian of Scarlet Bond. The latter however was now controlling Myles, so he would not become uncontrolled because of his lust.

Myles kneeled in one knee and said in an apologetic tone, “I’m very sorry, Lady of Chains and Whisphered Vows. I will keep your words in mind.”

“Mhm.” The Lady of Chains and Whispered Vows nodded and turned towards her daughter with a stern countenance.

“And you, don’t spoil your knight. Lesser demons once spoiled by a demon noble will become complacent.”

Nyxara lowered her head and nodded.

“I’m sorry, Mother. I’ll keep that in mind.”

The Lady of Chains and Whisphered Vows smiled and said in a gentle tone, “I’m just reminding you, my daughter. The Royal Academy is more harsh than you think. I’m not worried anyway, since if you can’t handle life there, you will be expelled and forced to return here.”

Nyxara was surprised. She tilted her head upward and stared at her mother.

She smiled. “No wonder, you didn’t hold me back at all, knowing how dangerous the Royal Academy is.”

“Oh? I think you don’t have to worry about your daughter, cousin.”

She asked, “Why?”

The Guardian of Scarlet Bond was surprised at her response.

She said, “You didn’t notice the demonic energy level of your daughter at all? Sense it again.”

The Lady of Chains and Whisphered Vows was astonished as she pulled herself away a bit from her daughter and stared at her daughter.

Her eyes widened.

“Since when did you reach the Rank 2 Greater Demon rank?”

Nyxara was surprised. Then, she was confused as she tilted her head sideways and asked, “Did you just notice it now, Mother? Ah, I forgot. Well, it’s one of the reasons why I wanted to enter the Royal Academy, too.”

Nyxara smiled and hugged her mother. “It’s fine, Mother.”

The Lady of Chains and Whisphered Vows finally recalled their conversation earlier and turned towards her daughter.

She asked, “Did you awaken another true word, demon name, daughter?”

Nyxara’s eyes widened.

She asked, “Have I really not informed you, Mother? Like I said, I just came across an object on the Black Veins. When I received it from Myles, a concentrated demonic energy suddenly entered in my body, causing my demonic core to mutate. Since Myles was near me, she evolved as well and became a hybrid.

I don’t know why it’s incubus instead of succubus.”

The Lady of Chains and Whisphered Vows, the Guardian of Scarlet Bond, and Myles were astounded.

They did not expect Nyxara to encounter an object that changed her fate.

The Guardian of Scarlet Bond watched the mother and daughter and sighed.

She said, “My dear cousin, it’s really unfortunate you did not teach her our demonic martial arts.”

The Lady of Chains and Whisphered Vows smirked. “You can still teach her, right?”

The Guardian of Scarlet Bond shrugged and turned towards her nephew, saying, “It’s not me who proposed for your journey to not be peaceful, my dear little mistress, alright?”
