Chapter 65: Demon Races
When Myles and Violet returned to the Ceremonial Duel Steps, Pink was crossing her arms while glaring at Violet.
Violet glanced at her and Pink grinned devilishly.
Violet simply shrugged and returned to her position, followed by Myles.
As expected, Pink, Peach, and Magenta showed brilliant burn marks, showing exceptional potential.
To their shock, even their Blood Knights showed far more potential than Myles.
Even the Guardian of Obsidian Descent was befuddled, as well as the incubus, who witnessed how powerful Myles was compared to the other Blood Knights.
They even believed something must have gone wrong with the Crimson Register Stone during Violet and Myles’ turn.
However, they instantly rejected their absurd idea after they went towards the Crimson Register Stone and discovered by themselves they received exceptional burn marks, as well.
Although they were disappointed that the most potential first-year incubus was killed and could have led the Crown of Velvet on their batch, they instantly simmered down.
Finally, it was the Dream Sirens turn, with their Eidolon Sentinels.
Just when the first years’ incubus believed they would lead the Crown of Velvet during their batch, the first Dream Siren who wrote her true demon name on the Crimson Register Stone showed a much brighter brilliant burn marks, signifying her potential was far ahead than the incubus and succubus’ first years.
Not only that, even her knight possessed a potential no lesser than her.
The incubus and succubus’ first years, including their seniors, were disheartened.
Nevertheless, it showed it was now time for Dream Siren to take the lead on the Crown of Velvet.
Of course, this idea worried the succubus and incubus race, as the two demon races managed most of the Crown of Velvet’s activity.
Now, a dream siren might have been able to alter the status quo of the Crown of Velvet.
Myles and Violet, on the other hand, were unworried. They simply noted in their mind about the potential demon noble worth the risk of enslaving them.
Myles was also able to scrutinize the dream siren and their knights’ appearance.
So, they are not the same siren back on earth, huh?
Myles thought the dream siren would have a similar appearance to the siren that Myles knew back on earth.
However, the dream siren did not have a lower tail body. Instead, they appeared as humanoids with an ethereal body. Their pupils were massive compared to humans and were translucent.
Their Eidolon Sentinels have white-glass helms and mist-like bodies. They did not wear a sword, but Myles knew their power came from their armor because the longer he continued to stare at it, the more he felt his mind was being imprisoned with illusions.
After the dream sirens and eidolon sentinels’ turn, it was now the Crown of Chains.
There were four demon races on the Crown of Chains, while only two of them have demon knights.
The Vampire Lord’s proxy thankfully mentioned the name of each of the demon race during their turn.
The first demon race of the Crown of Chains was called the Chainbound Lords. They were tall iron-veined demons with glowing chain sigils. They appeared very cruel and absolute legalists.
Their knight was called Chain Knights. They were iron-clad giants wrapped in sigils. When Myles saw them, it did not take long for him to understand they were slave wardens.
Next was the Oathreavers. They were lean scarred figures with broken sigils. They were smiling from ear to ear, making them creepy. However, when Myles observed them, from their body language, they appeared dangerously clever.
Next was called the Brandmasters. They have blackened arms with molten sigils. They appeared meticulous, obvious from how they moved around their space.
They were accompanied by their knights called Brand Templars, who were black-plated executioners.
After them was a demon race called Soul Wardens—hooded pale demons with silver eyes. They were silent and from the aura they exuded, they seemed detached.
Hence, it was not surprising they did not have a demon knight.
Out of the four demon races, it was the Chainbound Lords who showed more potential. Myles heard murmurs that the Chainbound Lords managed the Crown of Chains, making it not surprising for their future generation to have a potential to continue leading their crown.
Next was the Crown of Crimson Oath.
As expected, the first demon race to be called was the Vampire. They have four first-years as well, and out of all demon races who were already tested by the Crimson Register Stone, quantity and quality wide, they took the lead.
While their Oath Paladins’ potential did not overshadow the other knights.
However, the Vampire Lord was still visibly content, including his proxy, too.
The next demon race in the Crimson of Oath was the Witches. They were humanlike with faint glowing runes.
They were accompanied by their knights called Hex Inquisitors—hooded rune knights that made Myles recall knights in the 21st century.
Surprisingly, their Hex Inquisitors had the potential to be the same level as the Oath Paladins.
The next demon race was called the Warlocks—black-veined skins with glyphs. Myles saw the glyphs and realized they were different from the sigils.
Warlocks did not have knights and their potential was on the same level as the Witches.
The Red Glass Archivists, who have crystal eyes and translucent fingers, were the same.
Soon, the Crown of Ash was called.
When Myles saw the first demon race that was instructed to ascend on the Blood Oath Steps, he instantly realized the Crown of Ash must be what he had to look out for.
The first demon race was called Abyssal Dragons. They were black-scaled dragons with burning veins. However, currently, they took their humanoid form while their black scales were visible through their cheeks and their skins.
The Abyssal Dragons surprisingly had the same potential as the Vampires–quantity and quality wise.
However, compared to Vampires, they did not have knights.
Myles thought. They must be so proud to believe they don’t even need a knight to lead the Crown of Ash.
