All the members of the Iron Fangs cursed the moment they were engulfed in the black mist, and fear began to sprout in the hearts of many.

The black mist was extremely thick, and very few could see through this thick mist.

The Iron Fangs had been taught more in the art of assassination compared to Simon, but there was one thing Simon took note of when Radan told him about the Iron Fangs.

The Iron Fangs were mainly composed of failures.

Initiates who failed to graduate to Year 3.

Simon had no idea what the Year 2 curriculum was, but he knew that if the Iron Fangs was mainly composed of failures, then in a situation like this where they suddenly lost their sight in this thick black mist… Some or a few would panic and cause chaos, and once there was lack of coordination in a group, there would be chaos.

“I’m here! Why are you attacking me?! You bastards! He’s not-!”

The voice went silent, and a thud echoed in the darkness of the black mist.

A chill went up the spines of the remaining black mist members as they realized what was happening.

The screams that told them Simon’s locations were not actually the voices of their comrades but Simon’s.

Many had no idea how Simon sounded like, but for those who were attentive and perceptive enough, they began to notice that there were similarities in the screams that seemingly exposed Simon’s location.

But even with this, what could they do?

Many of them were confused and lost.

Many of them were scared and panicking.

Many of them wanted to run and escape.

Not all of them had the ability to see in this thick darkness, and a lot of them were failures.

They were failures who slacked off and decided to waste away their talents, opportunities, and merits while enjoying the benefits of the academy.

They barely attended classes and they barely trained.

Compared to the elite and hardworking students of the academy who would not only be able to see through this thick dark mist, they would also be able to locate Simon and end him.

But Simon took advantage of the fact that many of them were failures, and it was working perfectly for them.

A voice filled with anger and killing intent boomed across and beyond the liquor store.

The windows shattered and the doors flew open with a bang, allowing everybody to finally see clearly.

The pupils of the Iron Fangs constricted into pinholes the moment they saw about ten of their comrades on the floor.

A few were dead, while others were merely unconscious.

The members of the Iron Fangs could see that their dead comrades had actually been killed by them.

The multiple daggers, burns, cuts, and so on showed that they were killed by their own comrades.

Many gasped in disbelief, and hiding behind a pillar was Simon.

He wore no mask, but he was tying a black cloth around his nose and mouth.

After doing this, he wore his broken smile mask and inhaled softly.

’There are still over a dozen conscious members left. I guess it’s time to go to Phase 2.’

Just as Simon had this thought, a loud clap echoed in the liquor shop, and Simon furrowed his brows slightly.

“Very good. Very, very good. I honestly am still in shock at what just happened. Who trained you? Who are you? Because there’s no way a Lesser Demon and an ordinary slave can be this smart and powerful in battle.”

Simon put out his head a little, and his gaze instantly landed on a man that was nearly twice his size and height, and this was saying a lot since he was not short.

The man was wearing the mask of a bull’s skull, and on his back were a pair of dark grey axes.

Simon narrowed his eyes as he observed this man.

“Are you Geryan?”

The man frowned in confusion. “Yes, I am.”

“Then you should be more worried about your subordinates rather than asking me questions.”

“What?”

A second later, some of the Iron Fangs close to him started falling on the ground and went unconscious.

Geryan’s pupils constricted in shock and disbelief.

“Poison!”
