Simon was forced to come out of his thoughts, and he looked at Ormon.

He stood, patted his body, then he looked at Instructor Ormon with a calm expression.

“Your technique is impressive.”

Ormon chuckled. “Do I need you to tell me that, boy?”

Simon smiled behind his mask, then he approached Ormon.

But this time around, he did not run but walked.

Ormon stroked his beard and chuckled.

“Hmm. You’re walking this time around? It won’t make a difference though.”

Simon did not respond, then he stopped when he was at arm’s length to Ormon.

Ormon could punch him and reach him easily, and he could do the same.

Ormon smirked. “Come.”

Simon’s eyes flashed, then he released the fastest punch he could after enhancing his entire arm and hand with his demonic energy.

However, Ormon dodged the attack and countered with an uppercut.

This time around, Simon paid a lot of attention Ormon’s fist as he dodged it.

The fist slowed down in his eyes as his focus was entirely on it and he forgot every other thing.

He tried to find something, anything at all.

He wanted to try and figure out Ormon’s technique on his own, but despite doing this, he figured out nothing.

’Or… did he decide to not use his technique this time around?’

Just as Simon had this thought, his eyes bulged wide open, and his head snapped up and he stumbled to the back and fell on his knees.

“What are you doing? Why are you trying to figure out my technique while we’re fighting?” Ormon said with an annoyed and disappointed expression.

Simon could not respond, no, he did not respond because he was still trying to comprehend what just happened.

He was laying flat on the floor, and his eyes just stared at the rocky ceiling above him with a lost expression.

’I dodged it. I know that I did. I was completely focused on his fist and nothing else, and the last thing I saw was his fist. His fist did not hit me again.’

’So how? How am I getting hit even after dodging his attack?’

Simon could feel the sting on his chin and the ache traveling across his head, but his mind was calm and his Sea of Consciousness was the same.

Ormon was careful with his attack, so Simon was able to stay conscious and did not die.
