Although Simon technically ’saved’ them, none of them was foolish enough to thank him or believe that he was not a part of the bullying and extortion.

Only a fool would believe that Simon saved them when he and the Iron Fangs jumped from underneath the causeway at the exact moment they were about to send their merits.

Though they didn’t have the specifics and it seemed like the three gangs were used and fooled by Simon, it did not change how they felt toward the three gangs and even the Second Years as a whole.

Since the Second Years were so incompetent to the point that a mere First Year slave could use them to do his bidding, then they’d show the Second Years that they were better and more talented.

To many of the First Years, the only reason why the Second Years were able to defeat them is because they were Archfiends.

They believed that they were on the same level, forgetting that the Second Years have more training and experience than them.

However, this would not be the case because the instructors would begin to see a rise in the attitude, seriousness, and desire of the First Years in their classes and training.
