“You were right. Those three were not normal. Geryan would not have been able to handle them.”

Simon nodded. “How was the battle?”

“Very short…” He frowned behind his mask. “… I believe that when they found out that they couldn’t overpower me very quickly, they decided to willingly give me half of their stipends.”

Simon calmly nodded. This was what he expected with the type of personalities they had and the fact that all three were keeping one secret or the other.

“Have you collected all the merits from your subordinates?”

Akaza’s lips twitched at Simon’s words.

“Yes, I have.”

“Good.” Simon nodded. “Did any of the Iron Fangs try to steal some of the merits?”

Akaza shook his head. “None of them wants to die.”

“Quite smart of them.” Simon nodded again, then he stretched out his hand.

Akaza instantly understood what he meant, but his expression became ugly.

“I believe we should talk about how we split the merits.”

Simon tilted his head slightly with an indifferent gaze, then he slowly lowered his hand.

“What’s there to talk about? Haven’t we talked about it already?”

“Don’t you think that not giving anything to the Iron Fangs would cause them to hate you and not follow you willingly?”

Simon raised a brow. “They already hate me and many of them would refuse to follow me because I’m a slave. They’d love nothing more than to kill me, so why should I give them anything?”

“Besides, I’m giving you 10% because I value you. If you want to share your merits amongst them, then so be it.”

Akaza’s lips could not help but twitch.

Share his merits?

He had very little merits left. How could he share his merits when he had no choice but to manage his merits.

’And it’s all because of this bastard.’

This was another reason why he hated Simon and wanted nothing more than to rip him to shreds.

He and the Iron Fangs were working for Simon, and they earned nothing as a result.
