Simon was not alone, he also found some of his classmates who only glanced at him for a second before looking away.

Many of them believed that Simon had failed climbing the cliff wall just like they did.

Or to be more precise, Merath was approaching him with an excited glint in her eyes and Jorra was walking behind her while emitting an annoyed and frustrated aura.

Because of his plain grey mask, none could see his face, but Simon could sense the annoyance and frustration in his aura.

It was clear as day to his senses.

Merath finally reached him, and Simon looked at her with slightly raised brows.

“Why are you here?”

“Is that how you talk to somebody who borrowed you some money?” She said with a tinge of teasing in her tone.

But Simon was definitely not embarrassed or angry at her saying this. He was indifferent toward it.

“I’ve already paid you back. So, why are you here?”

Merath clicked her tongue and shook her head.

“You know that you’re too cold and boring, right. You won’t have any friends if you continue like this.”

Simon nonchalantly shrugged. “I don’t see you with many friends despite your cheerful and open personality… Besides, you keep on running toward me, wanting to be my friend, not the other way around.”

Merath’s lips twitched, and the urge to strangle Simon emerged in her heart.

“You know how to anger people with your words, you know that right?”

Simon nodded. “I do. It’s a good skill that I’m proud of.”

Merath’s lips twitched once again, but she decided to control her emotions and not get riled up by Simon anymore.

“Whatever. I came here to ask if you reached the five hundred feet mark the Instructor talked about? You appeared in this place by shadow teleportation, so I’m guessing that you did.”

Simon nodded. “I did. I reached the end.”

Some of Simon’s classmates were listening to the conversation between Simon and Merath. They were confused and curious as to why the top students of their class seemed to be friends of Simon when it should be otherwise.

Thorgan who they had not seen.

And now Merath and Jorra.

They were extremely curious, but when they heard Simon’s words, some exclaimed in shock and disbelief.

Simon was the only member of their class to have arrived by shadow teleportation, so that meant he was the first person to climb five hundred feet of the cliff wall.

How many times would Simon best all of them?

In the trials, he was the true number one.

In the physical training, he was also number one.

In battles where they ganged up on him, he always won.

It was getting too much and too out of hand.

A few could no longer take it, and they shouted.

“Liar!”

The boy’s words were stuck in his throat when the cold gaze of Simon and Merath combined with both of their auras and Jorra’s aura landed on him.

None of the other Initiates who wanted to speak and confront Simon could do so.

There was just something about the eyes and auras of Simon, Merath, and Jorra that terrified them.

All three were unique Daemons, and once the three of them unleashed their auras on these weak and pathetic demon children, they were like scared mice before a cat.

Simon indifferently looked back at Merath, completely ignoring and forgetting about his classmates.

“So… did you fail? It would be very surprising if you did.”

Merath calmly shifted her cold gaze from their classmates, then her gaze turned back to normal as she looked at Simon.

She raised a curious brow. “Why would it be surprising? I’m still a Lesser Demon you know. You’re shockingly stronger than me now.”

Simon remained silent, and did not speak his inner thoughts on this.

For some reason, he still felt a great amount of danger from Merath and Jorra despite his new heart rank.

He decided to shift the conversation and not talk about their heart ranks.

“So, how did you fail?”

Merath rolled her eyes when she saw that Simon had changed the topic, but she didn’t press on it.

“I, wait. No… We-” She gestured at Jorra too, causing his lips to twitch.”- failed at the third section. The wind tunnels were truly too powerful and chaotic to pass through.”

“Hmm… I guess so.”

Once again, Simon felt that something was off about the tone of her words, but he decided not to dwell on it since it was of no danger to his life.

“If all you wanted to ask is if I completed the training, then you may leave.”

Merath clicked her tongue. “You might actually die single and a virgin.”

“Who knows.” Simon indifferently said, and Merath clicked her tongue once again.

“Anyway, Jorra and I have something to ask you after the class. It’s actually important, so I’m hoping you find the time to meet up with us at the school cafeteria.”

Simon raised a brow, but he nodded. “No problem.”

Merath smiled behind her mask. “Wonderful. See you later.”

She and Jorra turned and walked away, and Simon stared at their backs, wondering what exactly they wanted to ask him.

’I hope it’s not to join their group though, cause I’ll refuse them.’
