Simon furrowed his brows slightly hearing the price.

He could understand that the reason why it was so much cheaper than the demonic crocodile leather scaled armor is because it could not protect the wearer from the attacks of a Greater Demon.

However, it could still hide the wearer’s aura from a Minor Greater Demon, and that in itself was a very good ability which should make the armor a lot more expensive than a thousand merits.

’Despite going to eleven stores on the first floor, only three had peak profound armors including this one.’

Without hesitation, she led Akaza to the counter to pay for the armor.

Fortunately for Akaza, Simon sent him a thousand merits and he had no need to use his money to buy the armor.

After successfully selling the armor, the female attendant walked up to Simon with a bright smile behind her mask.

“Would you like to put on the armor?”

Simon raised a brow, then he shrugged.

“Sure thing.”

The female attendant gestured at a door that was not too far away from them.

“That’s a changing room. There’s a mirror there for you to see how it looks on you, but there shouldn’t be a problem since the armor has an automatic feature where it’ll either reduce or increase in size to fit you.”

Simon nodded, then he took the armor and went to the changing room.

He opened the door and observed the room.

The changing room was a small white room with only a mirror and a wooden plank attached from one wall to the other.

He entered the room, closed the door and touched several parts of the room to ensure that there was nothing suspicious in the room.

He checked behind the mirror and even its edges to make sure that it was a normal mirror.

He also used Shadow Sense to observe his shadow and the shadows of the room.

’Nothing.’

It was only after he checked everything that he felt satisfied.

He then removed the top part of his robe, allowing it to flow freely to the ground.

He took another glance at the armor, then he wore it.

But the moment he fully wore the armor, he felt a warmth from his arms, and his eyes flashed.

A second later, the armor turned to ash and its remains fell to the ground.

Simon slowly shifted his gaze to the ashes on the ground, then he looked at the mirror, seemingly wanting to confirm if he was not seeing things.

’So, I can’t wear armors?’

He decided to have a conversation with Lilith.

[Hey-]

Before he could finish his words, Lilith cut him off.

[You cannot wear armors. The Chaos Wraps prevents you from using any other weapon aside from the Chaos Blade, and you cannot wear any armor.]

Simon’s eyes flashed with a solemn light.

[Then why didn’t you tell me before I bought the armor?]

[Because I’m petty, and so that you’ll waste your money.]

Simon’s lips twitched, and though he had the urge to ask what he did, his vast experience with women made him to know that this was a trap and he must avoid it at all costs by staying silent and ignoring her.

’This is bad.’

’If I cannot wear an armor, then that means I’m more exposed. It also raises the importance of me getting a defensive skill by a lot.’

’Or I focus on devouring demons with high constitutions.’

He looked down at the ashes once again, then he wore his robe and sent the ashes into his spatial ring.

’This has just been a waste of time and money. Can’t believe I just wasted a thousand merits.’

He shook his head with slight disappointment, then he walked out with an indifferent gaze.

He approached Akaza who had a raised brow behind his mask.

For some reason, he had a feeling that Simon’s expression was off.

“Let’s go. We’re going to buy some masks.” Simon said indifferently.

Akaza raised a brow. “Masks?”

Simon nodded slightly. “A lot of masks.”
