He could feel something strange in his eyes, and he knew that it was blood.

He looked at Instructor Aphon, then he spoke calmly.

“I think I mistakenly fell in my sea of consciousness itself, and I started panicking as I sank. I can’t really remember, everything is hazy.”

He lied with a straight face and gaze.

Instructor Aphon’s eyes flashed with realization, then he nodded.

“That’s not strange. It has happened to lots of people before. Your brain was overloaded with the information your sea of consciousness possessed. That’s why you’re bleeding.”

Simon nodded, then Instructor Aphon distanced himself from Simon and began walking down the steps.

“I’ll advice you go to the clinic to be certain that there’s no complications. Your brain would heal with time, but it’s better to get proper medical help.”

Simon nodded. “I will. Thank you.”

Instructor Aphon said nothing, and Simon exhaled softly.

He raised his mask gently, brought out a handkerchief from his spatial ring and began cleaning the blood on his face.

’A shame that I didn’t see anything in my sea of consciousness despite pushing myself past my limits.’

’I just bled for nothing.’

Simon…had forgotten about the ring and the voice.
