And Diana hated it when Kevin badmouthed Kael, so maintaining the peace between both of them had become Alicia’s job, which she had quickly grown proficient in.

The news of Kael’s suspension had quickly spread through out the entire academy, as his absence was explained in class by Instructor Elsa.

The surprising thing for Alicia was the support that many had shown for Kael.

Among those who were defending him, commoners were at the front, but that didn’t mean that they were his only backers.

Many students among the nobles had come in Kael’s support, as for most of them, Kael was someone they aspired to become.

Kael was already popular in the academy, being the only one to have scored full points in the entrance exam, coupled with his good looks and charisma… And after his recent fight against the student council, which resulted in Kael defeating Victoria, his fame had skyrocketed like anything else.

Even among the fifth-year students, Kael had become a constant topic of discussion.

Many students criticized the student council, specifically Victoria, for bullying a first-year and misusing her power.

Alicia spoke while looking towards Noah, who just nodded his head in return.

“Are you supporting him?”

Just as Alicia was about to leave the room, Kevin uttered the words in a voice that was closer to a whisper.

“You should rest.”

Alicia didn’t provide a definite answer because she herself didn’t know what she desired.

“Why are you being so passive, huh?!”

Not getting an answer, Kevin stood from his bed before walking in Alicia’s direction.

“You of all people should know what he did to us?! What he did to the peace of our family?! Huh?! Answer me!”

Kevin’s outburst made Noah quickly approach him, as he grabbed the former by his shoulder before trying to make him retreat, but—

Kevin didn’t budge an inch.

“And you—”

Kevin turned his gaze to Diana, who just observed him in silence.

“After everything that he had done to you, how could all of you just forget it and act like the past never existed?! Am I the only sane—”

“It’s my life, my body. You don’t have to concern yourself with how I use it or whether my decisions are in my favour.”

Diana’s tone was measured yet firm.

There wasn’t an ounce of hesitation in her voice.

There was a long silence in the room as Kevin observed Diana with an expression that was hard to describe.

“Kevin isn’t wrong.”

Noah’s voice made Diana turn her attention to him.

Alicia too shifted her gaze to Noah, who crossed his arms while leaning on the nearby wall.

“You don’t have to look surprised. You should know Kael more than me or anyone else in the academy.”

Noah uttered the words while looking at both Diana and Alicia, though his eyes settled on Alicia at the end.
