“Get comfortable,” she said. “We don’t have much time before we go.”

Liam sighed and slumped into the nearest armchair, shaking his head at the taste still lingering in his mouth. This was going to be a long day.

“And what the fuck are you two wearing?” she added sharply, her eyes scanning both Liam’s lazy attire and Ella’s home-styled red dress like she was staring at a pair of children who’d gotten lost in a fashion show.

Ella, who had been quietly sipping from her own drink with her usual graceful poise, simply sighed. Without a word, she turned toward a luxury bag sitting on the far end of the room, unzipped it, and pulled out a new black gown—sleek, classy, obviously designer. It shimmered even under the soft lighting of the penthouse. One look and Liam knew that thing was probably more expensive than his entire house.

He didn’t even bother to ask. The price would make his stomach turn. Nope, not today.

He shook his head. “No. None.” Honestly, he had nothing going on. Ann was going to be away for a few days, and the last 24 hours had already been a whirlwind. What was three more days?

But something else had been buzzing in the back of his head ever since he woke up. His system. The timer had passed. The twenty-four-hour reward window had hit its mark, and now his notifications were piling up like unopened birthday presents.

A small grin tugged at the corner of his mouth.

By the time the clothes arrived, both Lilith and Ella were already dressed. Lilith was a vision of lethal beauty.
