Liam stared at the mansion.

Liam glanced up at the rearview mirror. “I mean,” he muttered, “the way you said ’don’t get angry’… it kinda sounded like that’s where this was going.”

Ann threw up her hands, exasperated. “Unbelievable,” she muttered. She turned her head sharply to the side and stared out the window. “You both seriously thought that I’d come back from whatever the hell that was and that would be what I needed to confess? God…”

Lana exchanged a glance with Liam but didn’t say anything.

Ann sat in silence for a moment before she slowly turned back. Her voice was quieter now, edged with guilt.

“What I wanted to tell you… was that while I was under his control, he made me talk. Not just talk—spill everything.”

Liam’s body went still.

“He asked questions,” Ann continued, her gaze locked on Liam’s. “A lot of them. And I couldn’t stop myself. I told him everything I knew about you. Where you lived, who your family was, who your enemies were, who mattered to you. I gave it all up. Every. Last. Detail.”

Silence.

Liam blinked slowly, his grip tightening on the wheel as her words sunk in.

Boris knew everything.

His brain short-circuited for a moment, unable to process the full weight of it. It wasn’t just that Boris had Ann in his grasp. He had knowledge now—ammunition. Leverage.

Names. Faces. Vulnerabilities.

He looked back at the steering wheel with a grim expression, then without saying a word, started the car again.
