Liam unfolded his arms slowly and stared straight at Mirov. His voice came out calm, but with a hint of disbelief. “So let me get this straight,” he said. “If I decide to believe you for a second… what you’re saying is not only do vampires exist, but witches too?”

Mirov nodded without hesitation.

Liam blinked, his lips parting slightly. “Unbelievable,” he muttered under his breath.

Liam let out a small laugh, shaking his head. “All right, now you’re just saying bullshit,” he said, rubbing his temple. “You expect me to believe that? What’s next, dragons? Maybe fairies and goblins hiding in the dark too?”

But Mirov didn’t look like he was joking. Not even a little.

“Every nightmare story you’ve ever heard,” Mirov said quietly. “Witchcraft, vampires, werewolves, demons, and others. They weren’t just pieces of someone’s imagination. They were memories—stories passed down to make people forget what really happened.”

Liam’s smile faded, but he still didn’t show much emotion. He stood there, just watching Mirov closely.

Then Mirov gave a small sigh. “It’s all right,” he said. “You might need a little bit of persuasion.”

Liam frowned. “Persuasion?”

Without saying another word, Mirov took a slow step back. Then, to Liam’s surprise, he began unbuttoning his white shirt.

“What the hell are you doing?” Liam asked, raising a brow.

Mirov didn’t answer. He kept going, one button at a time, until his chest was bare. Then he slipped off the shirt completely and started undoing his belt.

But Mirov ignored him and continued undressing until he was completely naked, standing calmly in the desert heat.

Then he looked at Liam with an unreadable expression. “Whatever happens next,” he said, “do not overreact.”

Liam frowned even deeper. “Overreact to what—”

His eyes glowed a burning yellow, wild yet focused. His face was a mix between a wolf and a man, the snout strong and lined with razor-like teeth. Steam rose from his body in the heat, and every breath he took came out like a low rumble of thunder.

Liam couldn’t help it—he took another step back, his instincts screaming at him even though his mind was frozen in shock.

“This is…” he muttered under his breath, barely able to speak. “Incredible.”

Lilith was the first to move. She winced slightly as she stood up, one hand clutching her wounded shoulder. Her fingers were stained faintly with her own blood, but she didn’t care. She took a few careful steps toward Liam, her expression tense. “What happened?” she asked.

Liam didn’t answer right away. His face looked different. Calm, but heavy — like someone who had just seen something impossible.

Lana walked closer too, her voice soft but firm. “Liam, what’s going on? Why are you looking like that?”

He blinked slowly, his wings fading behind him. For a moment, he just stared at the ground. Then he raised his head and said quietly, “We have a lot to talk about.”

Liam sat at the far end of the couch, leaning forward slightly with both elbows on his knees. The others were seated or standing around the living room — Lilith beside him with a bandaged shoulder, Lana leaning against the wall with crossed arms, and Dickson sprawled halfway across a chair like he’d rather be anywhere else.

Seo Yeon, Kelly, and Vanessa stood near the window, listening closely.

Liam had just finished explaining everything Mirov told him — about the vampires, the witches, and the curse.

Dickson rubbed the back of his neck and broke the silence first. “So let me understand this,” he said slowly. “That Russian dude… Mirov… is a werewolf, right?”

Liam nodded.

“And he wants us on his side to fight against vampires?”

Again, Liam nodded.

Dickson blinked. “Man, this shit keeps getting crazier by the hour,” he muttered.

Lilith looked down at the bandages on her shoulder for a second before speaking. “If what he said is true,” she said carefully, “and the witches cursed the vampires into hiding centuries ago, then why can’t they just do it again?”

Liam leaned back on the couch and exhaled. “Because, according to Mirov, once a curse like that is broken, it can’t be reused,” he said. “He said in two days, the curse will fade completely. After that, the vampires will be free again.”

A silence filled the room.

Nobody said a word for a long time.

Lana finally spoke. “Two days…” she murmured. “That’s not a lot of time.”

Seo Yeon crossed her arms, her brows furrowed. “And what if he’s lying?” she asked. “We don’t even know what they really want. He could be playing both sides.”

Liam looked at her and gave a small nod. “That’s why I don’t trust anyone right now,” he said. “Not yet. For now, we stay out of it unless we have to. We’ll watch and wait. Then, if what he said turns out to be true — if the vampires are really the threat — we’ll fight with the werewolves.”

Kelly nodded quietly. “Makes sense,” she said. “No point picking sides too early.”

Lana let out a slow sigh, pushing away from the wall. “Still… vampires, witches, werewolves,” she said. “This world keeps getting more ridiculous by the day.”

Liam gave a small smile but it didn’t reach his eyes. “You’re telling me,” he said. “But we can’t afford to be unprepared anymore.”

His tone grew firm. “We need to train harder. We need to get stronger, and fast. I’m sure every one of you felt it — how weak you were compared to the people you fought today.”

Everyone went quiet again, the memories of their battles flashing in their heads — the overwhelming power, the helpless moments.

Lilith nodded slightly, her voice calm but low. “He’s right,” she said. “If what Mirov said is true, then we’re nowhere near ready for what’s coming.”

Dickson groaned and threw his head back dramatically. “Yeah, yeah, I get it,” he said. “But come on, bitch, I just got my powers like, what, a day ago? How the hell am I supposed to compete with dudes who’ve had theirs for years?”

Lana smirked slightly, unable to help herself. “Maybe stop calling people ’bitch’ for starters,” she said.

Dickson looked at her. “That’s my charm,” he said with a grin.

Vanessa rolled her eyes. “It’s your downfall,” she muttered.

Even Liam gave a small, tired chuckle. “You’ll get there,” he said to Dickson. “All of us will. We don’t have a choice anymore.”

The room grew quiet again, each of them thinking the same thing — if the vampires were really coming, then the world they knew was about to end.
