Ann continued walking through the crowd, doing her best to stay calm. The noise had dulled slightly, the music not as loud as it was earlier. Either the DJ was switching tracks or the speaker system was messing up. Either way, it gave her room to think.

She tried to blend in as much as possible, swaying her hips casually, pretending to enjoy the rhythm. Every few steps, she’d stop near a group and fake a smile, nodding like she was part of it. Her eyes stayed sharp though.

She picked up a half-full plastic cup from a nearby table, raised it to her lips, and pretended to sip.

Ann noticed them the moment they shifted from the crowd. Her posture stayed the same, calm and disinterested, like she hadn’t seen them. She kept the cup near her lips.

He approached her slowly, eyes scanning her face and chest first, then her legs. When he reached her, he smiled and leaned slightly closer, voice smooth but cocky.

It took her almost a full minute of weaving through bodies and avoiding hands grabbing at her waist, but finally, she spotted them—together, standing near the bar.

Lilith had her back turned, sipping something from a tall glass, while Vanessa looked tense, her arms folded and eyes scanning everything.

Lilith turned first, hearing her approach.

“Any update?” she said, raising her voice slightly over the bass.

Kelly nodded quickly. “Ann found him.”

Vanessa blinked. “Wait. What?”

Kelly corrected herself. “Stormzy found her, actually. He already sent someone. She’s being taken inside right now.”

Lilith and Vanessa exchanged glances.

It was obvious what they were thinking. Of all people, Ann? They hadn’t expected her to be the one to draw him out.

Vanessa’s brows tightened. “Where did they take her?” Her voice was low, and there was real concern behind it. “I can’t picture Ann alone in there. Not with animals like that.”

“She didn’t look scared,” Kelly said quickly. “She just nodded and followed them.”

“She hides it well,” Vanessa said. “But you’ve seen her. One wrong move, and she’ll freeze up.”

Lilith set her glass down.

“Let’s go,” she said simply.

Kelly nodded and turned to lead them. “Follow me.”

Ann kept following the two men, saying nothing. The noise behind her was fading as they moved deeper through the narrow hallway. It got quieter, darker. The path was lit with a dull red glow from overhead lights that flickered every few seconds like they were on the verge of dying. The further they went, the more isolated it felt. The sounds of the club, the music, the shouting, the drugs, the crowd—it all seemed far away now.

Suddenly, they stopped walking. No warning. Just halted.

She slowed to a stop behind them.

One of the men turned halfway and pointed to a wall directly ahead.

“Go in,” he said flatly.

Ann frowned immediately. In front of her was a thick steel door. No windows, no openings. Just cold, grey metal with a single handle.

She furrowed her brows. The hell? How did Stormzy even see her from behind a closed door?

Her thoughts spun for a second. Either he had hidden cameras or someone else was scouting for him in the crowd. Either way, she couldn’t back out now. Not when she was this deep.

She took a breath, pushed the thought aside, and walked forward. She grabbed the cold metal handle, pulled the door open, and stepped inside.

“Close it,” a deep voice ordered.

She froze mid-step.

The voice was heavy, slow, and commanding.

She turned, pulled the door shut behind her, and exhaled. There was no turning back now.

She walked forward. A curtain blocked her view. She moved it aside and stepped through.

Then she saw it.

Stormzy.

He looked like he was in his late twenties, maybe early thirties, but with the cold eyes of someone who had seen too much. He was sitting back in a worn-out leather chair, legs casually crossed and propped up on a low table cluttered with lines of cocaine, rolling papers, a scale, and a half-full bottle of Hennessy. Dim red lights lit the room, casting shadows across his face.

But none of that was what made her pause.

He was holding a gun.

And it was pointed straight at her.

“Who the fuck are you?” he asked, voice cold and unbothered.

Ann’s heart skipped a beat. Her throat tightened instantly. The barrel of the pistol didn’t waver—it was steady, aimed at her chest.

She smiled nervously, her voice shaky. “I… I’m just a stripper.”

He stood up slowly. Not with any rush, but with the kind of calm that screamed danger. Every movement was deliberate.

He began walking toward her.

Each step echoed in the room. Not because the place was huge, but because her mind had gone blank. She could feel her legs stiffen. She tried not to let it show.

He reached her.

He leaned down, close—his face inches from hers. His eyes were scanning, studying, dissecting. He didn’t speak.

He just stared into her eyes.

Then, slowly, he leaned in closer and sniffed her neck, taking in her scent.

But now she looked.

And froze.

All four screens showed different angles of the club. One was on the dance floor. One near the bar. One from the upper level. But the last one—the last one made her stomach drop.

It showed Kelly, Lilith, and Vanessa. All three of them were moving, walking toward her current location. The feed was live. The time stamp at the bottom corner was ticking in real time.

She realized then—Stormzy had been watching the whole time. Since the moment they walked in.

Behind her, Stormzy chuckled quietly. A low, dry sound.

She heard the scratch of his scalp as he rubbed his head with the same hand that held the gun.

“You’re not just a stripper, now are you?” he said behind her.

She shook her head. “I don’t know those girls,” she said quickly. Her voice was flat, but inside, she was panicking.

Then she heard the soft metallic click of a gun’s safety being switched off.

Stormzy’s voice dropped low. “I saw you three walk in together.”

She could feel his breath near her ear now.
