Chapter 225: Busy but Miss You

The Lakeshore Center was quiet. The water of the lake rippled. The fountain in the middle of the lake changed water columns following the changing lights.

There were all kinds of fruit trees on the lakeshore. A group of children was happily picking the green fruits in the night.

The room was filled with an unfriendly atmosphere. Margaret happily took the dinner to Hilla. Just as she was about to go downstairs, she saw the two people in the living room who were about to fight.

“Yes.”

“Why are you back so early today? Aren’t you busy?”

“I’m busy, but I miss you.”

Hilla blushed and felt shy. She smiled and muttered, “You are good at flirting.”

They could only flirt with each other on the balconies. When Margaret and Orlenna saw Bruce, they would guard against him as a thief and prevented him to get close to her.

Hilla could do nothing. After all, even Bruce couldn’t resist Orlenna. She couldn’t do it.

“What’s in there?”

Hilla held the bamboo basket which was covered with a small floral cloth. It looked very pleasant and was kind of pastoral style.

Since they couldn’t be together like before, they tried to inject a little fun into their relationship.

Although Hilla disliked it in the past, she liked everything that Bruce gave her now.

Hilla had opened the cloth in front of the bamboo basket. It was a crystal ball with a diameter of 4 inches.

“How old are you? Why are you buying this kind of child’s toy?”

Although Hilla sounded disgusting, she held the transparent and shiny ball in her hand.

Bruce wore simple home clothes. His hair had fallen vertically after taking a shower. He leaned lazily against the railing. He looked more like a handsome man who was courting his neighbor.

“Do you like it?”

“Yes!”

Hilla smiled and held the crystal ball happily. Only then did she find there were two small people inside.

She put it closer. They were the comic versions of her and Bruce. They had been made into small people and placed in the crystal ball. The most shameful thing was that the two people inside were kissing.

There were two words, “Miss you”.
