Chapter 275: DNA Test Result

Only the clinking of porcelain could be heard in the quiet room. The chandelier gave a soft glow and lighted up the room.

Hilla looked at the man feeding herself porridge without blinking, and she opened her mouth to eat it up.

“Why are you staring at me?” Bruce asked in a gentle voice.

He was embarrassed and reached out to pinch Hilla’s soft face.

Hilla blinked and lowered his head to eat.

Then she whispered, “I’m just afraid that it isn’t real.”

“Go to sleep, girl.”

Hilla was weak after the birth, and she looked out of sorts with the torture of a high fever.

Horton had reminded Hilla that she needed more rest.

But she didn’t want to sleep as Bruce came back.

The comfort of his arms made Hilla feel safe and protected. “I’ll stay here and hold you sleep.” Bruce helplessly said. “Can you promise that you’ll be there if I wake up?” “I promise.”

“Are you going to be here while I’m sleeping?”

“Of course not.”

“Thank you,” Hilla said with a smile.

She smiled satisfyingly like a child getting a pack of candy.

She smiled like a child, and her face seemed to carry the satisfaction of getting candy.

Her fingers crawled onto Bruce’s chest and grasped his shirttail hard. Then she slowly closed her eyes.
