There was something that most likely would become a tradition once it occurs not once but twice in a row. A party that’s held whenever a trial is about to end, I wasn’t able to attend the first one since I was in a coma. “Boss, you’ve finally made it,” Morris was greeted by Kyo min soo who pounces on him and landed in his chest. His tail was wagging and before he could notice her presence Quon did the same thing. Even though her intelligence made her act like an adult, this child couldn’t hold her facade. She hugged him in the back and he responded by carrying them to the entrance

’What a fucking pair of assholes they ditched me to go on a date and they asked the kids to wait for my arrival. Don’t give me that look, im not saying that you can’t ask me to spoil you once in a while, you are my childhood friend,” He raises her chin and his fingers touch the surface of her lips whilst his face lessened its distance on her face

“T-Thats enough… You’re such a tease, you always do that even though you already know im weak in that area. Say, Christ im getting a little hungry. Can you uh feed me? It’s not fair if, im the only one doing it, I wanted to know what it feels like to be fed. Can you?” Lillith gave him a puppy-like expression and her eyes widen and he was forced to do as she asked

He let out a long sigh before he gets dragged into the dining area. Apart from the prying eyes, there were a few that recognize the two and followed their tracks. It was the kids that disappeared from his grasp, along with Morgan who disappeared from his chest

It seems that I’ve supported the winning horse, big sis was the only one I could have a normal chat with apart from father. What was supposed to be a casual talk with these three children that supported their chosen flower gave birth to a fight. Because of their fight, they were taken away by the guards and questioned about their intentions. In the meantime, Morris was alone it seems that Lillith wasn’t that hard to escape from

’Phew… It’s a good thing that she didn’t notice that I spiked her food with a sleeping potion that I used to trick my heroine. Those two… I’m going to give them a beating once im done. If I found out that Morgan has something to do with this then she’ll face the same wrath that those two will receive. Come to think of it, I need to change my appearance, they’ll easily notice me. Guess it’s about time to switch to my real face, it’s not like I need to pretend to be the Radiant Knight,’

He changed his hair back to its original form and his body was wrapped around in a black cloak and his eyes change back to blue. He exits the curtains and goes back to the middle of the party and enjoys his limited time. At some point he found himself playing cards with a bunch of strangers

An hour later, he became a little tipsy, he goes about his time and enjoys the party hosted by Persevis. For some reason, he can’t seem to contact him and he hasn’t felt a single hint of mana from the players working under his rule. He was a little curious but he didn’t mind since he wasn’t bothered being bothered by anyone. He sat on a chair that was away far from the crowd and he gulps a medicine that nullifies the intoxication of the booze

“I knew I haven’t fully recovered… If I’d known I’d get tired I would’ve asked to be escorted. In the end, I couldn’t meet my savior,” When he was about to leave and stroll around the other areas of the party he heard the voice of a maiden. From the tone of her voice, she wasn’t that happy, and her body wasn’t in its best condition

’What’s this now…? She sounds like a person who’s having some trouble with love, im sure of it. Those words were a sigh from a girl who hoped to meet his fated person but wasn’t able to. Well, I’m still thinking about the places where I wanted to go, might as well help this girl with her troubles,’

He came to the other side of the table where he meets a young Elfling in need of some assistance. Her expression wasn’t that bright and most of her body was still covered in bandages that were yet to be seized. She seems to be a sickly kind of girl which made him feel a sense of pity for being in such a pitiful state. He appeared in front of her view where he places a scented candle which calms her down

“It seems that you’re a little overwhelmed by such a big crowd… Don’t mind me, I just notice that this lady is having some trouble controlling her mood. Fret not, this candle is made by yours truly, I’ve come to have made this in my spare time. It makes you wonder what a person will do if he’s tired of spreading a person’s blood,” His approach wasn’t that bad, his chosen topic would’ve made anyone leave in a matter of seconds

This Elfling was different from the looks of it she understands his joke by the tone and expression he made. Morris didn’t seem to be a bad guy in her eyes and she even allowed him to stay at her table

“What’s your purpose for coming here dear sir…? I might possess a face that’ll make any man fond of my presence but I was told that I emit a horrifying aura. It’s not that I have the desire to kill but it was an effect after I escaped from the clutches of a beast,” The Elfling warned him about her aura that drove a few people away from her area

“Truth be told, I could sense your aura where I currently stand… It’s quite horrifying but you showed any hostility,”

“Pardon what do you mean by that?” The Elfling was confused about the words that the man uttered in her presence

“A horrific aura is nothing but intimidation, if it’s paired with the person’s intent it’ll come to be hostility. The lady doesn’t possess any kind of hostility, rather I felt loneliness in your aura. There’s a saying that an aura is the intent of a person, if it’s pressuring it’s labeled as hostile. If it’s refreshing it’s labeled as friendly and if it makes you feel empty the person is lonely and seeks attention,” He placed a flower in the back of her ears before he unknowingly pats her head

’Oh shit!!! That’s gotta be rude to her right? Well, I just made it awkward, I always have this habit of patting a younger person’s head. I hope I didnt offend her,’

He was about to leave but his hand was held on by the Elfling’s pale arms which stops him from leaving her side

“If it’s not a bother to you, can you please escort me to the party? I wanted to have a wonderful time if it’s not much to ask, plus I can compensate you if you want…”

’Compensate…? Nope, as greedy as I may be when it comes to money, im not a bastard that takes from a sickly girl. Let’s just hope that she’ll have a wonderful time,’

’There’s no need for that, I just hope that you’ll enjoy it. Now may this lady grant me her hand? I need it so that I can support you,” Thus his stroll began with the sickly Elfling that leaned onto his shoulders
