Chapter 6: First mission [2]

‘I’ve finished setting everything up which took 10 hours and 8 hours for a nap and learning a new skill making the duration 52 hours. Even though I prepared for everything im still trembling, at the thought of fighting against those newbie player killers. I can’t lessen my guard around them, I designed them to be crafty, hostile, and ruthless. Lastly, they’re fearless when they outnumber their prey making them give their lives to deal a fatal blow,’

“I’m gonna kill all of you,” He glared at them from afar before he leaves his spot and walked to the bushed nearby the camp

The rain covered the forest, which was strong enough for any kind of noise to be heard. Alongside the noise, the raindrops cleansed him of his accumulated filth and completely masked his scent

“It’s showtime,” His wait was no longer as soon as his first victim who unfortunately passed in the bushes. He closed his distance against the goblins before he shoots out shock that spread from one goblin to another

The channeled spells shortly paralyzed them which made it possible for him to connect another attack. Using haste as his means of ambush he unsheathed his sword and dashed through their paths. He swung his blade at a faster rate than he could need and their lives were taken when it reaches their throat. After he killed the goblins, he dragged their corpses near the bushes and made his way closer to their camp

“There’s too many of them, guess I need to burn some of my mp,” Once he fully cast his chant a blinding mist engulfed the entirety of the camp

The mist spread throughout the camp and he can hear the growling of the confused goblins about what they are witnessing. One by one their heads started falling to the ground, and his sword would either pierce through their stomach. If not they’ll have their head flying until it reaches the muddy land. He continued his massacre until he finally receive the message he was eagerly waiting to appear

‘it’s finally here, the Mist array has 5 minutes left before it disappears…? Let’s use this remaining time to poke some damage, I still have 20 mp, I need to use this chance before it notices me,’

He walks to the area where he placed all of the goblins he slaughtered in cold blood which appears to be a mountain of corpses. Not even the rain could hide its putrid scent, the goblin mage screams at the sight of its brethren. Because of its carelessness, Morris was able to slowly makes his way to the goblin mage

‘Don’t worry I already booked your seat, enjoy your family reunion, since im gonna send you to hell!!’

He walks closer and closer as the distance between them shortens until he finally made his move. His enemy was at a range where even he could easily dodge its attacks. The sounds of his foot impacting the wet mud with his sprint was heard by the goblin mage, but it was a second late to react

The spell was still casting and was about to be completed, in response, Morris swings his sword and damages its left arm. This made the channeling unstable and its spell was missed even in such a point-blank range. He kicks the goblin to the muddy ground and before it could chant another spell, he sealed its fate by opening its abdomen

It tries to bring along its death, but he already anticipated the goblin mages’ last resort. He damages its arms and was unable to keep holding onto its staff. Its final breath was used to scream for help but he drives his sword and finally sealed its fate. His attack opened its chest and its blood kept on dripping beside the corpse it previously mourned. Once the mist had disappeared Morris left the scene taking once he took the goblin mage’s staff

He found a lot of naked men and women that were tortured and raped, whilst pillaged of their items. He hadn’t wasted a second and opened the cage one by one escorting them outside. He points out the place where he sets his traps to avoid any friendly fire

‘The 100 Goblin challenge is not a fun and exciting way to permanently increase a magician’s magic power. It’s known to increase any player’s mp, however, this effect will only occur once a day. So it’s best to gather a ton of goblin mages and kill them all at once. Once a minute had passed you cannot increase your mp but it resets once a day had passed,’

‘This only works as long as the player hasn’t reached LVL 10 and if one killed a goblin king then they’ll get an increase in attack. But im only in it for the 100th kill, I’ll bounce as soon as I hear the goblin king has appeared. Aside from the mp, as long as you take their staff before they die then the staff will see you as their owner,’

“Damn it!! Their numbers aren’t even decreasing, I need to think of another way,” He was sitting in a tower that was surrounded by goblins while tending to his wound

‘I can’t use mist array, it’s draining a lot of mana is that the only way? I guess I’ll have to resort to using it, before that I need to apply my points. I reached level 6 not long after I killed 20 goblins after killing the goblin mage, status,’

He created an explosion that sent the goblins flying leaving them with burns that were slowly, killing them from the inside out. Morris made his way to the exit and entered the forest where they blindly followed

They didn’t know about their upcoming demise, he climbs on top of a tree while and flicks his finger. It then triggered the spells, which he placed as traps, and the goblins were obliterated. Their bodies can’t be identified if it was a monster or an animal. Their guts were scattered and their intestines dangle around the trees and were painted red

‘Shit!!! I didn’t think my spells would kill so many, I still have some remaining spells that I haven’t activated. Let’s save that for the 100th goblin kill I need to deal with them on my own. I can’t cower around when I can use this to stimulate my nerves. This will make my untrained body fight under pressure let’s take these corpses into a certain location, just like that time with the first goblin mage,’

He piled the corpses near the bodies the ones that were already burning, their flesh was slowly turning into ashes. Their blood started to evaporate which made a putrid scent around the forest

This scent made the remaining goblins including the hobgoblin and the goblin mages examine the area. In that spot, they found a player who was blowing some air in their brethren’s corpses like he was having a barbecue. When he was tired of blowing, he took a fan towards the fire that made the sure grow even brighter

‘They sure are angry even so there still powerful as I described them to be. I need to kill the mages first before I dealt with the rest, those mages can be a little troublesome. I don’t want them to stay any longer heck I don’t even want them anymore. I already got myself a fucking staff,’

He dodged the hobgoblin’s giant mallet while casting haste and killing off the nearby goblins. He recovered from dodging whilst he made his way through the goblins to aim for the death of the enemy mage

His advancement was put to a stop upon seeing that the hobgoblin’s speed was increased. The mages hit him in the back as he landed on a tree, puking a large portion of blood. He grabs a potion from his bag and drank it in a single sitting. His wounds were healed and he recovered his missing health

“It’s good to be prepared for anything, good thing I didn’t take this one off the list,” He switches from his staff to his sword and ran towards the remains of his foe. His body got lighter once he switches from his sword and he can narrowly escapes the enemy’s spells

The hobgoblin doesn’t intend on giving him an opening to kill the mages, but that choice ended their lives. Like they wanted to accomplish, he focused his attacks on the hobgoblins

He charges at the monster whilst he jumps higher and landed on their heads. He shoots out the spell shock and paralyzes its body following the spell Ignite. He aimed at the eyes of the monster and burned the damn thing and taking away its vision

It screamed its lungs out, as soon as his attack was finally concluded, without any mana remaining in his body. Morris resorted to activating the spells that were in the goblin mage’s vicinity. It kills the two with the combination of both electricity and fire, whilst he was preoccupied with stabbing the hobgoblin to its last breath

“Finally, level 7,” He stands back up after his stamina has fully recovered after he leveled up along with his destination to his tent
