A loud gaping roar filled the room and in the wall where Pike lies beaten a monstrous figure arose. A nightmare in every way to frighten his foe but Morris remains calm in the face of the perilous existence of Pike. His heart raced even higher indicating his restlessness but for whatever reason he wasn’t disheartened

“Morris!!!” He lunges with a speed beyond Morris’s current state could dodge but he is later blown by an attack

An explosion occurred so loud that it momentarily caused Christoper to lose his hearing in the mix. He looked to his back and saw Yuri with an empty rocket launcher which then threw a bottle in his time of need. He chugs it down and his wounds are partially healed and a little ounce of his stamina is recovered

(Master… Can you hear me? Quickly before I fall apart, wield me. My body can no longer aid you but it can be used… for something else. Tell me… what do you desire?)

“I desire–” Lawrence flung a rock at aiming for him and he followed it by leaping and bashing his two hands to his spot

A gas exploded from the rocks he stood below impairing his visual with its irritable sting to boot. A sound similar to the roar of a chainsaw emerges at the bottom and he responds by stomping to no end. But this is what he wanted to happen, Morris used the sound as a distraction and came from his defenseless rear

“No this is another trick– Arghhh!!!” Though he catches up with Morris’s schemes he is stopped mid-way by a bullet that pierces his arm

He lifts Pike off the ground where he momentarily floats and Christoper bashes him towards the exit. Yuri sets the explosives with a push of a button and the two watch as a superb explosion occurs before their very eyes. But their plan wasn’t to bring him to a single spot for an all-out attack they knew it wouldn’t be enough

“Welcome… to the 49th floor!” What the two had planned long before was to return to the cleared stages for a loophole they found in their prior investigations

“Graahhha!!!”

Lawrence hardly even pays attention to what he says and charges in with his fit of unquenched anger. The attack was so strong it shook the entirety even reaching through the 50th floor. But as the smoke dispersed a wall was found between the two where Lawrence was confused. He walks away from the wall where he hardly even cared whether Pike’s attack or not and takes a sip of his potion

“What’s wrong, are you confused? Even though you’ve mostly conquered my mind, part of it returned to me… clearing a stage means I gain more control and influence but it only works on the floors I cleared,”

Christoper was against using any skills since most of them require a large abundance of mana. Because of the applied penalty, even his mana breathing was blocked and he had nothing more than his bare hands. Using any form of martial arts would be effective but rather do more harm than good in his case

Lawrence manages to land a clean hit sending Christoper crashing through the walls of the 49th stage. The armor barely saved his life, his condition was no longer relevant, and he could only hope but wait for his demise. But even in that state, he could feel a presence nearing his broken body and later a force that snapped his arm

He moaned in pain and yet laughter filled the room in contrast to his never-ending suffering. He was ready to die, but something went against Pike, it was none other than Yuri Mikhailov. Though he couldn’t see he knew that the price was paid to catch Lawrence off guard where he even needed to let Christoper go

“Morris, can you hear me?”

His hearing was full of ringing but he could vaguely hear her trembling voice and he replied. “What did you do?”

She hesitates and after she takes a deep breath, she says whilst hiding her unbearable pain. “I– I lost my arm…”

“Which one?”

“… my left arm,”

“Hey, you could finally do a Shanks cosplay– Ow!” He jokes even though she seems to be pissed she chuckles as well holding him by his chest

“So this is where we’ll die? Huh… for what it’s worth I thought I’d die alone. I’m gonna miss Jin. I’m so sorry, I can only do this much. I’m too weak. I’m not like you, I can’t be like you–”

“Well duh, idiot! Who in the hell would want to be me? I’m a fucking moron for crying out loud… im only smart here because I know everything. I’m just a loser, once was, and always will be,” Once he said that the air grew quiet, and instead of joking these two finally came to terms with their end

A figure possessing eyes from every part of its body and as she saw its shape it was undoubtedly Christoper Morris. Once he finds Lawrence’s location with the use of his eyes he dashes through the ruins to put an end to this fight
