Their entire field of view was surrounded by a black most and yet their visions weren’t affected. The monsters that lurked were in disarray upon having one of their senses have vanished from their disposal. But they quickly adapted and used their heightened sense of hearing as their eyes. Slowly they could hear the sounds of flapping and a second later was nothing but silence

“Grrrrrrrrhhh,” They remained in their position not knowing the location of their prey, and they began to take a step. Shortly after they heard a sound and the next thing they found to have changed was the smell of blood. This scent spread far and wide and these monsters have discerned their situation to its fullest outcome

“Do you guys wanna see the beautiful sky? If so then how about we have a little trip,” This was the first sound they’d ever heard, and before they knew it a powerful surge of mana came bursting from the ground. It pushes the monsters upward with a force that repels anything that touches the ground. Afloat in the sky, they met a figure with a pair of black wings and a weapon made from the shadows itself

“Downward repulsion strike, and now I’ll add Darkness manipulation… Change the shape of my shadow and turn what I offer into a weapon of mass destruction,” A spear was born from his shadow and a weapon that suffices his current winged state. His wings changed and they turn into a pair of thrusters that has the same sound as what the monsters have heard. He slowly charges and it soon became silent as the time the monsters notice the spilled blood of their comrades

(Option 2) Dreadful thrusters: By sacrificing more than 50% of the feathers in each pair of the dreadful wings you can enter the thruster state. Within the thruster state, the player will become faster than their previous form known as the winged state. [Sky piercer]: After a short period of charging the thrusters will perform an aerial dash at a speed where it can be redirected. Whilst this skill is currently in play the player will have a boost in his crit rate and crit damage. There’s a 30% chance of gaining penetration when you’ve activated this skill. Penetration will disappear upon landing the first enemy to be struck

He released the charging phase and he dashes through the air with an unbelievable burst of speed. He sends a powerful swing of his spear and he slashes the thick and durable bones of the living corpse. Compared to their outward appearances these bones have a conscience and their defenses were second to him. He continuously charges against their bodies until every single piece of bone was reduced to a speck of dust

Once he was finished dealing with the lower-level monsters, the ones he wasn’t able to finish crash-landed back to the ground. The impact pushes away the nearby mist and they can perfectly see his body hovering through the eerie-looking sky. They retaliated by sending out their line range attacks where the centipede shoot outs its scales. The shadow jackals fired a volley of spells and he was met with a rain of spells and projectiles in the mix

“Well, well, well, looks like you guys are finally getting serious about our fight. Too bad that you’re a little too late… You shouldn’t have given me the time I needed and just fire right alike at me madman,” He releases the charging phase and enters sky piercer once more, and dodges the attacks of his enemies

The amount and speed of their attacks were something that he couldn’t possibly have exited whilst being untouched. Though their brief rest cost them their lives and he manages to outmaneuver every single one of their attacks. His wings didn’t take any sort of damage and he descends like a predator that aims for the lives of his prey

“Sky-piercing demonic thrust!!!” With the momentum, he gained from the power of his current state he pushes forth in his battle. The first that struck his spear was that of the body of the skulltipede which had its scales broken by the sheer volume of his strength. The other monster took this as a chance to win and they rallied to launch an attack on every side and seal him in their trap

“Fools, do you think that’s enough? Hehehehehe, you take me for a weakling even though you’re using numbers to restrain me? I’ll show you the fullest extent of these wings latched onto my back,” A glimmer of light sparked inside the cage made by the monsters that targeted his life

The black mist completely disappears and this caught the attention of Airis that’s killing the excess amount of monsters. She notices a gust of powerful wind that knocks every monster from a certain area near her position. At the center of the powerful gust stood a horrific pair of wings and a long black spear wielded by a single individual. A single movement cost the whole ground to shake and the skies turn upside down

He floats on top of dozens of corpses belonging to what the demons have spoken to be monsters. However, to him, they were only a bunch of food that awaits its predator and he came out as the victor. That’s when he realizes a single issue that he couldn’t shake as soon as he thought about his predicament

’If the Demon King was this powerful how come it lost in my story? How strange, with this power it could’ve easily won over and conquered the other nations. Perhaps is there a mystery that hasn’t been disclosed, maybe another appearance of an anomaly? Whatever it is, I’ll make sure that I won’t let it affect my story, if I can’t avoid it then I can only choose to destroy it,’
