Chapter 280: Incomplete [1]
In an attempt to change the future outcome, Christoper Morris, you know him as none other than me gambled everything. He succeeded but the question remains, what in the world has happened, did he transform, or did it flop? Why didn’t he change, and why is it that his demeanor remained the same, to find out your answers how bout we proceed
[System: Due to the effects of <[Fate scenario]> working in your favor the Alter egos compatibility is raised to the max
Status: Outlining various personalities to the caster’s preferences
Changes in capabilities/appearance: For some reason, the caster has donned a pair of glasses. Due to this being your very first assimilation of multiple Alter egos, your capabilities are a mystery. The system does note the different vibe you exude which is comparable to an Edgelord]
“You seem oddly different… but that’s all you have to show for? I guess your final trick was but a flop, then allow me to end your misery,” The Seraph dashes whilst sending a rainfall of swords created by its heavenly aura and for some reason his movements were fluid
“Didn’t your mom tell you not to dance with the devil? Not only will you get burned… but also due to your sloppy footwork,” His movements were so little yet too precise for just a little bent permitted him from passing through the blades unharmed
“Don’t get so cocky for a mere fluke!!!”
Morris was left open as his constant movement became the gateway for his adversary in shortening their gap. But the changes in his form never ended from the appearance of his masterful footwork but also in his strength. His frail arm manages to obstruct the killing blow with a mere dagger made of lightning and an excellent reaction for him to swing
A surge of surplus amount of power discharges from the dagger paralyzing and leaving the Seraph open for a kick. “How disrespectful! I thought you’d play fair but even an angel is dirty… why the hell would you punch someone with glasses?”
“What the???” The Seraph continues to deny the truth that’s before his very own and simply thinks of such as no more than a fluke
“You’re not gonna take this seriously? Fine then, you left me with no other choice. Don’t I say didn’t warn you… I too had enough!!!” He takes a few steps back and tightens his fist whereas his body pours a surge of mana and chi completing his attack
“Interchangeable Cromwell arts-” His fist strsplurgeuck the Seraph’s defenseless abdomen moving the energy present and leaving it vulnerable
His fist was then retrieved and went farther away reaching through his back whilst shifting from being gripped to an open palm. “Reversal overlord!!!”
He shoved his palm through its helpless abdomen and overclocked his very veins to send forth an excess of violent energy. Though it looks like no damages were created he heard the rupturing sound indicating the erosion he made. The Seraph began to see for who he truly was, not a mere holder of extravagant titles, but an existence befitting of such
“You devil!!!” The Seraph’s thousands of eyes spread around its body began to glare upon receiving such brutal treatment
[So this is the finished product? I thought I would’ve seen it but isn’t it a little unstable? I guess gambling made sure it’ll function]
’Split personality is an evolved skill stemming from personality alteration which creates different personalities. It’s great for undergoing espionage if you want to mask your true nature but its true abilities are way beyond. Simply put I can create multiple minds, and with them, I can appoint various things, allowing me to do all sorts of wonders,’
{(Spell Thief: This is the first time I’ve entered this state. It doesn’t feel different. What’s strange is that I’m comfortable
Zen Bleightrol: Same here
Radiant Knight: Although we aren’t in sync with the body’s very capabilities I’m not the least bit disturbed
William the Womanizer: I can say the same thing, it’s like I gave the chick the wheel and rode me nonstop)}
“Why of course… you all may have gained sentience but you’re ultimately me. Just do your jobs and I’ll handle the rest-”
The Seraph blinks from its position to his rear whilst thrusting a blade with all its might as Morris’s attention shifts from another. “To sum it up… we did become one, but your sentience remains. I can put each of you in charge of a certain part of my body,”
{(Radiant Knight: Oi are you insane? If I didn’t catch that then we would’ve died! Take this seriously Sir Morris!!!
Zen Bleightrol: Seriously you didn’t even explain jackshit! We only knew once we acted. I can’t believe we’re related to him
Spell Thief: So in a nutshell you gave us control over some particular functions and left you with more space to work on?)}
Radiant Knight was in control of his upper body where he formed a shield made of lightning. Zen who has control over his footwork dashes forth and evades the Seraph’s every move to end his life. Once he got closer their control transitioned and was given to none other than Spell Thief who pulled a counterattack
’All of you may stem from me… but if your thoughts don’t correlate to mine will be a disaster. This skill simply gives you my thoughts with no delay whatsoever in a way we kind of share the same brain. But once you get my command it’s up to you to do it, so I’m simply giving you all the work so I can focus on the fight,’
[Now that you’ve said that in a fight many mostly prioritize themselves over their adversaries]
[It’s as the Prophet says no matter how skilled you are you won’t be completely monitoring your foe. Needing to always prioritize oneself for if you perish then the match is over and your life is no longer. But this skill allows you to hold multiple minds and appoint them throughout your body to maximize yourself in battle]
“This skill sounds like a broken-ass cheat! But it comes with risk… but that’s a different case if your mind is already fucked up,” As Christoper mentions his body became incredibly flexible considering all those minds combined he can do anything
“You’re bluffing- Arghhh!!!” The Seraph was pushed back once he changed his manner to become incredibly aggressive in that short amount of time
“Why don’t we find out?” The Seraph pushes him back and these two from opposing sides’ ever-growing hostility ensues another conflict
The Seraph finally reveals its reserved divinity and then goes off to conjure hundreds of homing blades. Morris on the other appoints a thousand stolen stats to his mana as his body manifests thousands of magic orbs. He goes on to reshape and then corrupts the skill, strengthening and allowing it to transform into its demonic counterpart
“Abyssal sphere bombardment!!!” Their numbers were equally matched the Seraph thought but what it didn’t foresaw was his foe’s swiftness in casting
“What The!!?” The Seraph could hardly react as a huge output of ominous black lightning was aimed in it’s way
“You managed to block that?” The Seraph’s divine shield dissipated and in front of it was Christoper who propelled himself through the use of Talaria
“You’re not gonna like this,” He conjures a small water droplet and upon contact with the Seraph expands creating a prison purely made of water
What happened next was only possible due to the presence of the Alter egos for he used frostbite to freeze the water. He spams mirage like theirs no tomorrow and commands them to maintain the orb by conjuring water and freezing it again. The moment Seraph escapes his perpetual trap is the time when he charges Thunder manifestation to his limitation
[System: Due to multiple consciousnesses being present the penalty of casting multiple skills at once is spread around!!!
Skill combination: Interchangeable Cromwell arts, Asura’s heavenly piercing fist + Concurrence + Thunder manifestation + Gambling; x2 damage + Sealed demonic eye; Telinteous The Tiny Terror
Outcome: Due to your multiple consciousness you managed to combine the experimental technique!]
“You shouldn’t be paying attention to me!” As Christoper declared the mirage it thought had obliterated chained it upon manifesting chains made of lightning
“This is just the beginning… I know you still have a second form. So how bout we end the first half with a bang!!!” He descends through the skies and readied his fist along with Talaria granting him flight for his fist to reach his foe
“Original technique: Roaring needle!!!”
As he accelerates his body the more he grows smaller whilst maintaining his weight Morris pierces through the Seraph. He brought down his most difficult foe at present but he knew his endeavors were far from finish as the spark suggested. Blinding light flashes through the Seraph and as he descends he sees the deterioration of its form along with the loss of its wings
[System: The Seraphim refuses to die? The high-ranking angel Seraphin sacrifices its Six wings! It now creates a mortal body!!?]
Two wings for flight and the rest was said to conceal its forms from being ever seen by the mortals below. But as of now, the Seraph he fought with to claim his life as his own sacrificed its wings for a second chance. As the wings were no longer it revealed a hideous form similar to a man yet having the same number of limbs
“No ears, no mouth, you have all limbs, but everything in your body has eyes for some reason damn that’s nasty, moving on!!!” Although he could crack up a joke or two he felt the lack of response and the absurd pressure this form exudes
