Everything wasn’t a lie, but the way they encounter Hugo’s brigade of champions was but a lie. The horror that every elf faces in the outside world was true, he acted like a victim even though he was not. What’s more, these Elves believed every part of his tale, and when he turn and faces his allies he gave a big thumbs up and maniacal grin

Your lucky that these two weren’t vengeful or else we would’ve opened fire at first glance,”

They left after pushing the unfortunate player to the ground, and even though they left the hostility remained unchanged. The eyes of the villagers were focused on the otherworldly bunch along with the sight of two of their kind. It was clear their presence wasn’t warm for their arrival was in the midst of war and their sons and daughters fought to defend their land

“Phew looks like everything settled down,”

Zeke was about to head out from the crowd but a voice originating from his noggin interfered with his plans. The soft yet prickly tone reminded him of his mission, he didn’t try to meet his glance and act natural to the naked eye. He listened closely down to every word he spoke and in his horror that maniacal laughter arose on his message

[Are you listening? It’s me, Morris. Take the whole afternoon and rest, I’ll be taking my leave tomorrow. Meet me tonight in the forest, I can just lay my plans right here and now but I assure you it’s worth your while… ahahahahahahaha! “Zeke! What’s wrong you look a little pale. Are you still surprised about their arrival? I am as well, I wonder how he disguised himself, but I can’t feel his demonic energy. But it doesn’t matter as long as their here, I’ve been brief about my task a while ago. Just follow what I say, and everything will work itself out, trust me, I’ll have your back no matter what,”

“Esther is that you? I thought I said we’re not sleeping together, that was a one-time thing— Oh, Silas? What brings you here? Forget what I had just been blabbering about it wasn’t important, come take a seat,” Morris welcomed him to his temporary lodgings after his return from his discussion

“I’m not suspicious or anything but when Zeke came back, how should I say this…? he was shaking in his boots. Did you threaten him or something? I know you’re strict but I’ve never seen him in such a way,”

No matter how small the amount Silas was exuding pressure with every word he spoke whilst the two remain unfazed. Morris’s eyes remain closed with a half-baked smile on his cheek while Silas glared with such intensity that he was about to speak. However, their chatter was left unfinished when they heard a knock coming from the other side of the door

“Morris, can I sleep with you? I’m just worried that uh your demonic energy! Yes, your demonic energy may get detected, so there’s nothing wrong if we sleep together, right?”

He clearly ignored Esther’s voice and turns his attention back to Silas and says. “I think your sisters looking for you, come on beat it. Do you really think im Evil? Ahahahaha, your kidding right? Silas, when have I done something insane, just trust me,”

Their conversation ended with such a doubtful tone and Silas along with his kid sister departed from his lodging. He told himself there was nothing wrong and everything was fine but his spirit was shaken by Morris’s behavior. But he brushes it off as nothing but his lack of trust, he was forever scarred from the betrayal of his allies that it might have affected him. He ignored the warnings of his betrothed spirit and once he sends Esther back he finally retired for the day

The sun has finally risen the hunters came back from their scouting, and the brigade led by Hugo was up and running. It was a morning filled with nothing but relaxation but also the disappearance of both his sister and the man he liked. Silas on the other hand was nagged by his spirit for ignoring her warning whilst he remains indifferent

’I’m telling you Silas we need to knock some sense on that guy! His aura felt different from before, it feels like his up to something. Oh Esther, my sister-in-law! Please be safe, I don’t want to lose my soon-to-be sister before I ever get married!!!’

’Sylph! For crying out loud can you stop it? Look while you were sleeping, I had a chat with Zeke… I never thought I’d be mistaken! I forgot he’s currently affiliated with the Evil faction. The way he gets his mission is to talk with Morris. You know because he’s on a direct contract with Morris, the acting Demon King?’

She angrily left his side and continues his day, after a while he visited the brigade but what he witnessed was a bloody trail. It led to where the others and as he ran he sees a dozen of unconscious comrades beaten to a pulp. At the end of this trial lies a frightful amount of Demonic energy where he saw Shin and the rest lying on the ground

“What happened!!?”

He healed Gale, Charlotte, and Shin, who were left unconscious, Yoona, on the other hand, was badly injured. Even with the potion he gave her, the injuries she took were far from normal, and she didn’t have the strength to speak. Although she mustered every strength in her hand and pointed at the forest before a loud bang was heard

“Zeke…?”

He was stunned from witnessing his ally which grew horns and fired like a madman with a gun fill to the brim with darkness. Hugo survived but his body was at death’s door from the amount of holes inflicted by his bullets. He walked closed with a devilish smile, the gun in his hand was redirected when he attempted to Hugo once more

“Answer me!!? What the hell are you doing?” Silas tightly grabs his neck strangling him with all his might

“What I should’ve done in the first place!! Devil Trigger, Shotgun Blitz,” The gun from his hand changed forms, and their surroundings explode by the sheer volume of his bullets
