Chapter 164: We all sleep in sometimes
Kellen heard the soft sounds of Rhys whispering, and while it was a good thing to wake up to, he was curious as to who he was talking to. Who was in the room with them.
Kellen didn’t like that idea, and he opened his eyes and glanced around, forgetting for a moment that he couldn’t fully see out of one of his eyes.
He scanned the area, trying to see what he could without moving too much and found that Rhys was on the phone. He was sitting up in the bed next to him, his chest bare and fully exposing the marks that Kellen had made yesterday.
Rhys saw that Kellen was awake, turning his head to smile at Kellen warmly. He reached out his free hand, brushing his fingers over Kellen’s hair in a gentle, warm gesture that had Kellen relaxing into the sheets.
“He’s just woken up. Yes, I’ll let him know.” Rhys said, then pulled the phone away from his lips. “Green and your parents say good morning. Or, should I say, good afternoon.” Rhys said, grinning as Kellen’s eyes widened slightly.
“Good afternoon?” Kellen repeated, then tried to push himself up in the bed. Kellen had to pause as his whole body screamed in protest.
Something was very wrong with his body, and it took him a long, painful moment to realise what it was.
He had overextended his body.
Kellen froze in his half up, half down motion, Rhys staring at him with open affection and amusement on his face.
“Yes, he’s in a bit of a shock, and yes, Green, I do think we will need your help. We did not use all the condoms, like you requested.” There was a pause before Rhys let out a bark of laughter. “I would never lie to you and buy more condoms. No, it would upset Kellen to lie to you, so I won’t.” He laughed again. “No, there are more than one condom left. We only used four of the flavoured ones you gave us.” It took Kellen a while to realise what Rhys was saying, before his face warmed.
“You’re…saying all of that with my parents around?” Kellen asked, his voice raspy, worn. His throat screamed as he realised he had truly overextended himself all over. He hadn’t noticed it when he first spoke because he wasn’t aware of his body, still too sleepy to register.
“Green walked far enough away to give us some privacy. She wouldn’t embarrass you like that.” Rhys told Kellen fondly, his fingers still stroking Kellen’s hair. Kellen was only a tiny bit annoyed that the simple touch worked at calming him down from the anxiety and anger that had filled him for a second.
“She would.” Kellen argued, wincing at the sound of his own voice. Rhys smiled, turning away from him to grab something from the nightstand. When he came back, he had a bottle of iced green tea. He shoved the phone against his shoulder, unscrewing the cap and carefully feeding the tea to Kellen. It soothed his throat, and Kellen nodded his thanks.
Rhys continued to smile, it reaching his eyes as he put the cap back on the tea.
“Green, you’re his best friend. Of course he is going to doubt your integrity.” Rhys told the phone on his shoulder.
“Put her on speaker.” Kellen rasped, not liking not being able to hear her response. Rhys chuckled, pulling the phone away from his shoulder as placing it on his thigh, pressing a button on screen until Taylor’s voice washed over Kellen’s ears.
“Kellen! You didn’t use all of the condoms, did you?” Kellen felt his eyes draw towards the end of the bed where the used condoms had been the night before. There was no way that Rhys would have left them out in the sun, but…Kellen had to wrestle with the small part of him that was disappointed that they weren’t there anymore.
“We were safe.” Kellen told her. “Rhys also listened to me when I told him I couldn’t go on anymore.”
“Couldn’t go on anymore?” Taylor repeated, sounding like she was going to get angry. Kellen opened his mouth to speak, but broke out in a cough as his throat caught on something. Rhys brought over the bottle of iced tea again, helping Kellen soothe his throat.
“I wanted to keep going.” Kellen said, knowing that if he didn’t make it clear, Taylor would continue to blame Rhys. “However, Rhys was the one who told me that if my body was saying it needed to stop, we needed to stop.” Kellen sighed, finally letting his body collapse back onto the bed. “I think I pushed myself too far.” He muttered, regretful.
Taylor was silent on the other side for a long moment, before she sighed.
“Fine. I won’t tear into him for that.” Taylor muttered. “I’m on my way up now. I had a guiding session, which was why I was near your parents. Your Dad realised when you didn’t show up why you hadn’t, so he went forward with the second round of interviews like you two had discussed. I’m sure he’ll contact you now that he knows you’re awake.” Taylor told him. Kellen let out a sigh.
“I feel terrible that he had to do that on my behalf.” He muttered and Rhys reached out, patting his head.
“You’re allowed some down time, Kellen. Even if…even if everything is happening around us, you are allowed moments of rest.” Rhys told him. “I’ve been working from by your side, like you asked, but I’ll have to get moving as well soon. Is that okay?” Rhys asked, and Kellen had to think back on when he requested that Rhys stay by his side.
Then Kellen snorted, more at himself than anyone else. Who was he kidding? Of course he would have been pissed if he had woken up and Rhys wasn’t at his side. Because he was a little pissed that he woke up and Rhys wasn’t inside of him like he said he would be.
“Of course you can get dressed. I don’t want anyone seeing you naked.” Kellen told him. “Even Taylor outside of professional reasons.” Kellen told him, smiling at Rhys. Rhys blinked, then melted.
“Awe. I just want to smother you with kisses, but I need to follow your orders.” Rhys said, while Taylor made throwing up noises on the other side of the phone.
“I am still here, you fools! Behave until after I leave, alright? There are some things I have to know because I’m your damn doctor, but I don’t have to know know.” Taylor sounded disgusted, but Kellen knew that she was just putting on a show.
“Then get here quickly. I’m feeling handsy.” Kellen joked, and Taylor let out a small screech before the phone went dead. Kellen laughed heartily. She had hung up on them.
“You’re cute.” Rhys told him, leaning down and pressing a kiss against Kellen’s forehead. “But stay lying down like that. It must hurt to move, right?” Rhys asked as he took off the sheet and revealed that not only was he naked and hard, but he was wearing a condom. Kellen blinked, a little surprised at the sight, before his jaw dropped slightly.
“You did it?” Kellen asked, and Rhys turned back to look at Kellen with a confused look, before his gaze narrowed.
“Did you think I wouldn’t? I told you that I would. I only moved because I had to.” Rhys told him, giving him a hurt look. He pressed a hand against his chest, showing off his body proudly as he came around the bed, near the closet so that Kellen didn’t have to hurt his neck. That also meant that his dick was swinging around in the open air and his abs were on full display.
The skin around Rhys’ dick looked red, almost bruised. Kellen felt his face heat and wondered if his ass was a similar shade.
“I wasn’t sure. I just woke up and you weren’t, so…” Kellen trailed off as Rhys’ face looked devastated. It was all a show, Kellen knew, since Rhys’ eyes were full of mischief.
“How could you say that? After all the work I put into remaining hard for you? All night? It was so hard for me to do so, but I just knew it would make you smile in the morning if I did so. I apologise that you happened to wake up when I wasn’t inside of you. Maybe that’s why you woke up.” Rhys’ eyes began to swim with tears, looking like he was truly about to cry. “I’m sorry that I’m such a bad partner. Do you want to punish me? Is there anything I could do to you that would make it up to you?” Rhys asked, blinking his big, yellow eyes at Kellen.
Kellen felt his face warm as he watched Rhys breath, his chest rising and falling, the obvious signs of Kellen’s affections covering his body. Rhys might have gone to town on Kellen’s body, leaving marks and hickies all over him, but it wasn’t like Kellen was any better.
Kellen felt his body warm, his lower half stirring even though it should be well and truly satiated after the night they had, and Kellen gulped.
“Stop it. Taylor’s on her way. Go…put that way and put some clothes on.” Kellen muttered and Rhys blinked even more.
“So I can’t make it up to you?” He asked, his voice warbling like he was going to start sobbing. Kellen grumbled.
“Not right now. I would need more time than we currently have, and I would also need my body back. Go get dressed before I start thinking I can move things with my mind like you can.” Kellen warned and watched as Rhys’ protective instincts kicked in. He clearly didn’t like Kellen joking like that as his eyes dried up and he spun, pulling the condom off of his dick and tossing it into the nearest wastebin.
From Kellen’s position on the bed he was able to watch him get dressed. It was quite the feast for Kellen’s eyes as the man was able to move about without showing off the obvious muscle pain that Kellen had. Kellen wondered how he was able to do that if he still had the marks on his body? Could he reset certain parts of himself?
Kellen felt his face warm as he realised that was probably exactly it. How else would he be able to keep the marks on his body while also remaining so hard even after he had cum? Even Kellen’s dick had given up at one point, but Rhys hadn’t.
He had a dick that wouldn’t quit.
Kellen vowed to never utter that line out loud. He was sure the man would strut around like a proud bird if he did. He had no idea what the man would do with that information, but Kellen felt like it would be used as a weapon against him.
The soft knock against their door downstairs when Rhys was almost fully dressed, just his shirt not tucked into his pants and his jacket missing, told Kellen that Taylor had hustled to get there.
“I would get it, but….” Kellen trailed off as Rhys glanced at him. Rhys smiled affectionately as he came out of the closet, ruffling Kellen’s hair as he passed.
“Don’t worry, sugar. You’ve got every reason to remain lying on your stomach like that. I’ll get it. You just stay there, pretty and mine.” Rhys said, his eyes flaring brighter for just a second before he left.
Kellen sighed, resting his head against the pillow under his head. He just hoped the lecture wouldn’t be too long.
