Chapter 74: These aren’t off limits anymore?
Kellen remembered that he was supposed to message his father, so while he was waiting for Rhys, he did that. His Dad was ecstatic that Kellen reached out and asked about dinner, and when he heard that Rhys wouldn’t be able to attend, he decided to push it back to a date that Rhys could attend.
He pushed it back to the weekend, which was fine with Kellen. He would just make sure that Rhys could attend.
Kellen jerked the moment he heard the door jingle. Kellen watched as Rhys entered with two bags in his hands. Kellen had no idea what was in those bags, but he could hear things rattling in the bags.
Rhys was all smiles as he came in through the door, putting his shoes away and coming around the corner.
“See? Not gone long at all. How was the time we were apart? Did you suffer greatly? I promise I ran into not a single soul in between the two feet of our apartments.” He was making fun of Kellen, he could tell. However, that didn’t mean that Kellen wasn’t pleased to hear that no one had seen Rhys.
Kellen would acknowledge that he was feeling a little bit on the prickly side of possessiveness.
“It’s more than two feet.” Kellen countered and Rhys grinned wider.
“That isn’t important right now. What is important is that I didn’t run into anyone and that I found all of the things I thought I’d bought. Care to join me upstairs?” Rhys asked, giving Kellen a wink.
Kellen was on his feet between this breath and the next. Rhys laughed.
“You’re almost moving as fast as I can.” Rhys joked but Kellen took it in stride. He had a feeling that Rhys would be doing the same if their roles were reversed.
“Just move, Captain.” Kellen ordered and Rhys chuckled.
“Yes sir.” He said again, all smiles.
Rhys led the way up the stairs, humming to himself as he swung the bags. Kellen followed him, aware he was staring at the other man’s ass in a way that Rhys was probably aware of. His look over his shoulder when he reached the second floor landing told him as much.
Kellen’s jaw was tight as he followed the other man up the stairs, uncertain what the man had in those bags. It sounded like several items from what he could tell, but he couldn’t be sure. When Rhys opened the door to their bedroom, Kellen grew even more curious.
“What did you bring?” Kellen asked, leaning around the slightly taller man to peer into the bags. Rhys yanked the bags up, not allowing Kellen to catch a glimpse inside.
“Hey! Wait until we’re inside. I promise this is going to be stuff you’re vaguely familiar with. You’ll know once we see them. I just want to get a shower first. Have you showered?” Rhys asked, changing the topic. Kellen nodded. He always got a shower everyday, and Rhys knew that.
From the glimmer in Rhys’ eyes, he knew that too.
“I did.” Kellen told him, watching Rhys as he moved into the bedroom, flicking his finger to turn on the light. Kellen glanced around the room, scanning the area to make sure that nothing was out of place. He was being paranoid, but it was something he’d been doing ever since he got back from the gate.
“Good. Then I’ll just get a quick shower with the bags in the bathroom and then be right out.” Rhys said, giving Kellen a cheeky grin as Kellen’s tension dropped and his eyes widened.
“What? Why would you-Rhys! Get back here!” Kellen called, chasing after the man. It wasn’t a fair battle since Rhys could freeze time. Kellen let out a roar as he realised between one step and the next that Rhys was gone from in front of him, the bathroom door connected to the bedroom was closed and the shower was already running.
They hadn’t fought like this before, and they hadn’t played like this before either. It was…strange, but not in a bad way. It felt nice. Freeing.
That didn’t mean that Kellen didn’t pout with his arms crossed on the edge of the bed while he listened to the other man shower. Alone.
That was almost enough of a punishment. Kellen could have at least watched.
Was that a sign that Kellen was frustrated? Absolutely. Was Kellen ashamed of that? There was no way that he was. Rhys had opened up this side of Kellen, and Kellen would say that he had nurtured it with both hands. Both Kellen and Rhys were frustrated that they couldn’t fully participate in the garden that Rhys had made.
Kellen knew that Rhys found him delicious, it was his job to make sure that Rhys knew that Kellen also found him delicious.
When Kellen heard the shower stop, his head snapped in that direction as he waited. He counted every second that passed as the door didn’t open. When it finally did, he was grateful that Rhys spared him.
He only came out in a towel slung loosely around his hips. Kellen was sure if he blew a hard enough breath it would slip and fall.
“Hey. My eyes are up here, Kellen.” Rhys put a bit of a bite in his words, but when Kellen did slide his gaze up to meet his golden gaze, it was full of humour and desire as well.
“I know where your eyes are.” Kellen told him primly, and Rhys chuckled, shaking his head. He had the two bags in his hands still, but he finally put them down on the bed.
“You little…” He chuckled. “Anyways, there’s your reward for waiting for long enough. Have a look.” Rhys told him, sitting down on the bed as well to pull one of the bags closer to him. He began to rifle through, which only made Kellen more curious.
Kellen began to pull the other bag closer to him until something came tumbling out of the bag. Unboxed.
Kellen sat there, his brain processing what he was seeing for a moment before a light went off.
“You said we couldn’t do anything like this.” Kellen said slowly. Was it Rhys? Or was it Kellen? Either way, he was pretty sure that toys had been ruled out. When Kellen raised his head to look at Rhys, the man was grinning from ear to ear.
“My understanding of your charts, which is minimal, by the way, is that you aren’t poisonous enough to eat through things anymore. We just can only use things once.” Rhys said, giving Kellen a thumbs up. “This way, you can get off, I can get off, we can get off together. What do you think?” Rhys asked, his excitement dimming slightly as he waited for Kellen’s opinion.
Kellen stared at Rhys for a moment before he turned his gaze back towards the bag. He reached inside, scooping a handful of toys out of the bag and onto the bed. Most of the toys were insertable, with a few looking like weirdly shaped cylinders that had…weird openings.
Kellen knew what those were. He’d bought a few after looking online and reading what kind of toys were normally recommended to men. He narrowed his gaze.
“Do you have duplicates of these ones?” Kellen asked, pointing to the male masturbators. Rhys’ expression grew excited again.
“I think so. Let me check.” He said, scrambling through both bags until he found two sets of the same toy. They looked slightly different, but Rhys just confirmed that the inside would feel slightly different. He had wanted to get stuff to surprise Kellen. That was before he had started dating Kellen.
He looked so excited explaining all of this to Kellen that the man couldn’t help but smile as well. It should be weird that he was finding this man cute in a moment like this, but that’s what Rhys was. His excitement was cute.
Damn, Kellen wanted to kiss him.
“Pick one of the two that you think I would like. I’m going to look for a smaller dildo.” Kellen told him and Rhys froze.
“Why?” He asked, sounding offended suddenly and Kellen glanced at him.
“I need to keep my ass ready for you to use, don’t I?” Kellen asked and watched as Rhys’ jaw dropped. He was genuinely speechless at Kellen’s words. That only made the small, satisfied smile on Kellen’s lips feel even more victorious. “Is that so shocking? You’ve said worse things to me.” Kellen told him and Rhys slammed his mouth closed.
“I, well, I know what I’ve said to you, I just…I’m allowed to be surprised when you catch me off guard.” Rhys muttered. “I also don’t like the idea of something else entering you.” He said, and Kellen was glad that he was being honest.
“Don’t worry. I’m not thinking of anything or anyone but you when I’m doing something like this.” Kellen told him calmly. “I also understand that you’re upset that something else is entering me. I’m upset about it too.” Kellen told him and watched as Rhys relaxed slightly. “You’ve just also done a good enough job on my body that I need anal stimulation to get off, and you can’t help me with that personally.” Kellen told him.
Rhys nearly choked on Kellen’s words, while Kellen smirked as he looked over the toys laid out on the bed. He found one easy enough to use with a good base. That was something in his research that he learned was good for anal play. It was also small enough that it wouldn’t take too much to get it inside, but it would also hit the spots, Kellen thought, that he would need.
Rhys stared as Kellen picked up the toy, his gaze bright gold.
“Is that the offender of the night?” Rhys asked and Kellen nodded.
“Would you clean up the toys so that we can touch each other?” Kellen asked and Rhys sighed.
“I guess.” He said sarcastically, but there was an air of excitement to his movements. Kellen knew he was just trying to lighten the mood. Kellen could feel how heavy and serious the air had gotten.
“We don’t have to limit how many times we cum with the toys, do we?” Kellen asked as Rhys was gathering up the toys they weren’t using that night. It was honestly a rather impressive line up of toys and Kellen was a little worried that the other man had thought of him while buying each toy.
“No? You cum, a minimum, of three times per love making Kellen. I would never stop you from cumming that much.” Rhys told him seriously. Kellen let out a sigh.
“Okay good, because you need to cum that much at the very least. You look so tense, Rhys. I just want to take care of you.” Kellen was being sincere, which caused Rhys to pause. A shudder rocked his body for a moment, before he slid his gaze to Kellen.
“I want to devour you.” Rhys told him lowly and Kellen let out a soft sigh.
“I want to devour you too.”
