Observing as the auction started, Michelle started recognizing voices of the people who were bidding, and she couldn’t help but scoff with a cold sneer. She noted the people she recognized and continued observing the auction. It was an illegal auction, so she was waiting for the second part.

At the end of the first half, her indigo grade Revitalization Pill was sold at the price of 4.5 trillion, which made Michelle raise an eyebrow. That was a price even the Archduke and Imperial family together didn’t have. That only caused Michelle to think about the possibility of it being someone from a higher ranked place.

As Michelle was studying about the world in the last two days, she found strange cases which were like leads to a place higher in rank, and it intrigued her. Now, this auction only deepened her curiosity. Was an indigo grade Revitalization Pill considered rare even in higher ranked places, or was the person who bought it after the “talent” who made it, a.k.a. herself?

Michelle didn’t really have the time to think about it as the auction proceeded to the second part. The first thing brought to the stage was a big scarlet egg with black lines all over it. The egg seemed somehow darkish as Michelle looked at it, and no matter how Mich she tried to resist it, she felt unrest in her heart, telling her to get the egg.

What she didn’t know was that her body was reacting that way because her bloodline was attracted to the bloodline of the creature inside the egg.

“This is an egg we have found under a deep cliff where the Archduke’s daughter fell. This egg wasn’t there when the Archduke’s soldiers went to find the Young Lady, but when we went there a day later, we found this egg covered by blood.” The alluring auction lady said with a smile. “Our appraiser said that it might contain a mythical being, so the staring price will be 1 million with each bid having to be higher by at least a thousand.”

Michelle’s eyes were glued to the egg as the auction house remained silent. No one wanted to buy an egg of unknown origins.

As the auction lady was starting to feel awkward, a bidder appeared. “3 million!”

Michelle looked over and saw that it came from the private room where was the person who bought her Revitalization Pill. She frowned a bit, but didn’t want to bid, but the unrest in her chest was slowly escalating as she saw the auction lady slowly look at the private room with the bidder.

“10 billion!” Michelle suddenly called out and silence overtook the auction house for a moment before laughter erupted from the private room with the bidder.

“Very well!” he laughed out loud, seemingly amused. “Since the lady can recognize the value of the egg, I shall let her have it!” he added with a laugh.

Hearing that, Michelle had a strange feeling in her chest about the person, but she was quite satisfied that the unrest in her chest disappeared the moment the auction lady announced her to be the winner of the bid.

As the auction continued, Michelle observed as spirit beasts, eggs and humanoid beasts of all kinds were brought up for auction. It was clear that the humanoid beasts would end up as slaves and the spirit beasts as tamed beasts for young masters and misses. As for the eggs, no one bought them, so Michelle bid for half of them and the bidder who bought her Revitalization Pill and let her have the first egg bought the other half.

Without the first egg, all the eggs together cost only a bit over a million, and they were quite small.

The last “item” that was brought to the stage shocked Michelle. It was a humanoid beast girl, looking to be thirteen or fourteen.

Michelle wasn’t shocked that it was a humanoid beast since there were a lot of them in the auction, but she was shocked because the young girl was special. Even though it was concealed, Michelle could feel the young girl’s blood thirst and hatred. Not only that, the girl had scales on her hands and neck with distinctive patterns on them, which let Michelle perfectly guess what species the girl was. It was a rare type of snake with the most deadly poison.

The starting bit was 1 billion, and Michelle knew that she couldn’t afford it, so she didn’t bid. In the end, she wasn’t really surprised that the one who won the bid was the same person who won her Revitalization Pill and let her have the egg. He bought it at the price of 6 trillions, an amount which silenced everyone.

Michelle went down the stairs to get the money she gained from her Revitalization Pill and the eggs she won. To her pleasant surprise, the auction house gifted her a spatial ring to store the money and a spatial bracelet to store the eggs since living beings couldn’t be stored in spatial rings and most bracelets, bit some spatial bracelets were a bit special and could store living things.

Michelle was about to leave the illegal auction house when someone stopped her. “My Lady, can we have a talk?” the person asked. His face was covered by a mask, but Michelle could tell that he was handsome. She could see his jet-black eyes and dark blue hair. From the voice, it was the bidder from the private room.

Michelle frowned a bit, but decided to follow since the person in front of her was incredibly powerful.

The man led Michelle to a luxurious restaurant in the middle of the city. There, they got a private room and sat down. “What did you want to talk about?” Michelle asked with narrowed eyes and a slight smile on her face. It was clear that she was intrigued.

It seemed that the man liked her attitude as he chuckled a bit. “Why did you bid for the first egg?” he asked with a playful smile, but the depths of his eyes were calm and serious.

Seeing that, Michelle tilted her head a bit and her smile widened. “And why should I tell you that?” she asked half-jokingly.

The man only waved his hand and the humanoid snake girl appeared next to him, standing calmly, looking completely tamed. “You seemed very interested in this darling. How about you tell me why you bought the egg, and I’ll gift this one to you?” he asked with a smile.

Michelle was fairly surprised, not understanding why the man would offer something like that. The price difference was just huge.

“I don’t think my answer is worth that much! What do you really want?” she asked with a cold smile.

Being seen through, the man wasn’t the least bit angry or ashamed, and his smile widened a bit. “Darling, you indeed are very interesting…” he hummed lightly as he reached out his hand and caressed Michelle’s face.

Michelle wanted to slap his hand away, but she realized that she couldn’t move. The man used his spirit energy to trap her.

The cold smile on Michelle’s face disappeared and was replaced by dangerous calmness as her cold eyes pierced through the man. But he only chuckled a bit and leaned over the table to get even closer to her. “My name’s Alexander Terce. Remember it, Darling…” he said before planting a soft kiss on Michelle’s lips, causing her eyes to turn even colder than before.

Alexander saw the coldness in Michelle’s eyes and laughed a bit. He caressed Michelle’s face again and took off the disguise mask she had on, revealing her true beauty. Her purple eyes and silver hair were striking and a bit of surprise to Alexander.

With her appearance back to normal, the coldness in her eyes was even chillier, causing the man to chuckle a bit. “Darling… you have beautiful eyes…” he planted another kiss on Michelle’s lips, this time a bit longer. Before he broke the kiss, he bit lightly on Michelle’s lower lip, and a bit of blood trickled down her lips.

Alexander sneered slightly and leaned back to his seat. “Darling, if you want the egg to hatch, remember to give it your blood,” he said before he disappeared from his spot and Michelle was left alone in the room, with the restriction on her body finally lifted.

Feeling anger course through her, Michelle put back on the disguise mask which Alexander left on the table and changed her appearance back to what she looked like in the auction.

Standing up, Michelle realized that Alexander left behind the humanoid snake girl, even though she never answered his question. That fact caused her anger to intensify, but she knew that she couldn’t take it out on the girl. “Why did he leave you behind?” she asked the snake girl.

The snake girl looked at Michelle and suddenly knelt down. “Please, be my master!” she said in a respectful tone as she gazed at Michelle.
