Summer Lancaster let out a long sigh of relief, her expression softening considerably. “Melody, you need to be careful. I don’t want to see your future ruined by some scumbag!”

“Don’t you worry. I, Melody Donovan, have seen my share of men. I know the good from the bad.”

“I’m just afraid you’ll fall into a scumbag’s trap and won’t be able to get out!” The two of them chatted more and more animatedly as the minutes ticked by. Dominic Thorne, waiting on the side, was getting very anxious. By the time they finally finished talking, it was already noon.

Dominic Thorne, who was driving, fought back the urge to cough up blood. ’So this is what they call being proud and difficult, huh? This was the first time he’d seen the Boss act so haughty. Before, only Sean Murphy was like this. Who would have thought the Boss had learned it from him?’
