Just as that thought crossed her mind, Gordon Graham sat down beside her, wine glass in hand. Although Summer Lancaster was repulsed, it was a business dinner she couldn’t avoid. She reluctantly picked up her glass and drank.

Gordon Graham had had his eye on Summer Lancaster for a long time. She was a woman who possessed the competence of a professional yet didn’t lack a gentle, alluring sex appeal.

“Director Lancaster, you can really hold your liquor.” He patted Summer Lancaster’s shoulder as he spoke. In response, she immediately stood up.

“Mr. Graham, allow me to toast you. Suddenly, someone rushed over and kicked Gordon Graham. The kick was extremely heavy. After the pain subsided, Gordon Graham looked up and saw it was Caleb Bell, the young heir of the Bell Group. Gordon Graham knew his place; the Bell Group was not someone he could afford to offend. He only managed to spit out, “You two just wait!” before retreating.

Wincing in pain, Summer Lancaster got up from the floor. The man ran over to help her.

“Caleb, I really owe you for that. Thank you!” Summer Lancaster’s face was contorted in pain; the fall had been hard, and several strands of her hair had been pulled out.

“Summer, how are you? Are you okay? Do you need to go to the hospital?” Caleb Bell asked anxiously.

Summer Lancaster forced a smile despite the pain. “Caleb, it’s no big deal. I don’t need to go to the hospital. Oh, right, what are you doing here?” Caleb Bell helped Summer over to a sofa to rest.

“I had some company business today, so we were having dinner here. What about you, Summer? How did you get mixed up with that old fox, Gordon Graham?”

“It was for work. These business dinners are unavoidable, but I never expected Gordon Graham to be so brazen! I really let my guard down.”

“Summer, you shouldn’t go to these kinds of dinners anymore. Your boss can’t be that strict, can he? Sending a female employee to a meeting when he knows the other party is a pervert? If you really can’t get out of it in the future, just call me!”
