Kenneth kissed her again. She pushed him away, frowning. “Kenneth, we’re on the street, not at home.”

“Then let’s go home.” Kenneth picked her up and got into a nearby taxi.

The car sped along the highway. Kenneth, unable to contain his emotions, kept stroking Summer Lancaster’s shoulder. He wanted to have her, to possess her, right then and there, without a care for anyone who might be watching.

He acted on the thought. No longer content to just hold her, he began to kiss her gently, his eyes filled with desire, before pulling her into a deep, passionate embrace. The driver up front caught a glimpse and turned his rearview mirror away, sighing to himself, ’Ah, to be young.’

“Keep the change.” Kenneth pulled Summer Lancaster out of the cab, and they ran. By the time they got home, they were both drenched in sweat.

“I want to take a shower. I’m all sweaty.” Summer’s cheeks couldn’t have been any redder.

“That’s not what I meant—ah!” Summer cried out as Kenneth swept her into his arms and carried her to the bathroom. He set her down on the vanity and started to help her undress. Even though they had been intimate before, being so openly exposed made Summer feel incredibly awkward. Kenneth, on the other hand, didn’t mind at all; he was thrilled by her bashfulness.

Piece by piece, he stripped Summer bare, leaving her completely exposed to his gaze. He tore off his own clothes with a rough urgency, tossing them onto the floor. Lifting her, he placed her in the running water of the tub before stepping in himself. Startled as she slipped beneath the surface, Summer yelped and instinctively wrapped her arms around Kenneth’s neck. Kenneth laughed. ’So cute.’ She tried her best not to look at him, but she couldn’t ignore the feeling of his searing hot body pressed against hers. Under the guise of washing her, his hands roamed and caressed her, lingering possessively. Finally, he began kissing her roughly. Though mortified, Summer couldn’t fight her own heart’s desire for him. She hugged him back gently, surrendering to his demands.

By the time they finished their bath, two hours had passed. Summer was so exhausted she had already fallen asleep. Kenneth changed her into her pajamas, then held her in his arms as he drifted off to sleep.

The next day, when Summer woke up, she felt one thing: exhausted. And her back ached…

“Boss, can I please take the day off today?” Summer whined playfully at Kenneth, who was fiddling with his phone.

“When you were calling me a bastard yesterday, you didn’t think there’d come a time you’d be asking me for a favor, did you? Hmm?”

“Fine. Seeing as you’re so exhausted, this young master will grant your request. Oh, right. I left my car at the bar yesterday, so I’ll drive yours to the office today.”

“You expect me to walk to the office?”

“Call Fletcher to come pick you up.” ’My car? If he drives my car, I might as well never show my face at the office again.’
