Chapter 79: Chapter 79: Honeymoon (3)
A hand, wet with seawater, cupped her face. Her lips were captured in a fierce kiss, her very breath stolen away.
Victor’s hand, which had been holding Jessie’s face, slowly slid behind her ear. He repeatedly caressed the small, thin, tender flesh there, as if admiring a rare treasure.
The rough texture of his fingertips, even slick with water, felt intensely pronounced against the sensitive skin behind her ear, making Jessie want to flinch away.
But even if Jessie wanted to retreat, the large hand resting on her waist prevented it. She could only move forward, not back.
And moving forward felt just like throwing herself into Victor’s arms.
The waves rolled and crashed by her ears with a SPLASH, but Jessie couldn’t hear a thing.
Her breath, her attention—everything was completely dominated by the man before her.
All she could hear now were the ragged gasps by her ear. Her entire body clung to Victor like an octopus.
“Go back?” Victor asked, his voice hoarse as he leaned down to whisper in Jessie’s ear.
His gaze turned heavy, the desire in his eyes nearly impossible to conceal.
The hand on her waist had, at some point, moved to support her rear, preventing her from slipping as she hung onto him. Its presence was potent.
Jessie was soaked from head to toe. They were in the ocean, yet pressed against Victor, she felt a scorching heat spread through her body.
A tingling itch seemed to build within her, intensifying because it found no release.
When Jessie heard Victor’s words, she knew what those two words implied, and she couldn’t help but blush.
“Mm…” Jessie finally nodded.
A faint smile flashed across Victor’s lips. He turned. “Hold on tight.” The moment the words left his mouth, he wrapped one arm around her and, like an arrow loosed from a bow, shot back toward the yacht.
The yacht was Victor’s private vessel. The master bedroom was large, and so was the bed.
Victor barely had time to let go of Jessie after they boarded. The second they were through the bedroom door, he swept her into his arms and headed straight for the bathroom.
On the short path from the door to the bathroom, a woman’s swimsuit, a hair tie, and a man’s swimming trunks were discarded…
The weather outside was scorching, and the master bathroom didn’t seem much cooler.
A wet handprint suddenly appeared on the fog-covered glass partition.
The hand looked small and delicate, but it eventually couldn’t help but curl into a fist.
Amidst the sound of trickling water were a few broken moans and a man’s heavy, ragged breathing.
When Jessie woke up, she was still a bit dazed. Her mind was a complete fog, muddled and confused.
But when she opened her eyes, the crimson-purple sunset outside the cabin made her gasp in awe.
It wasn’t the first time she had seen such a brilliant sunset, but that didn’t stop her from being stunned every time she witnessed such beauty with her own eyes.
Jessie instinctively tried to sit up, but the moment she moved, a wave of soreness washed over her entire body, making her hiss in pain and furrow her brow.
At that moment, the memories of her wild abandon with Victor came flooding back into her mind as if a floodgate had been opened.
Now, just looking around the room made her feel a little uncomfortable.
Victor had already changed the sheets himself. It hadn’t even been noon when they got out of the sea. She didn’t know if she had fallen asleep or passed out, but now that she was awake, it was already evening.
She had clearly said it was enough, that she didn’t want any more, but Victor hadn’t kept his promise at all.
She thought a man like Victor’s word would be his bond. But when he held her from behind and said it was the last time, there was another “last time,” and another…
’He’s a total liar!’
The space beside her was empty. Just as Jessie was mentally cursing Victor for being a scoundrel, the sound of the doorknob turning came from the entrance.
Jessie clutched the blanket, only a pair of large, round eyes peeking out as she stared at the door.
The next second, Victor’s figure appeared in the doorway.
He had changed into a flax-colored casual suit, which made him look quite a bit younger and more approachable.
As Victor walked in, Jessie caught the fragrant aroma of food.
Victor entered carrying a tray.
“You’re awake?” Victor’s eyes met Jessie’s the moment he entered. He smiled at her, strode over, and sat on the edge of the bed. After setting down the tray, he reached out to stroke Jessie’s thick, fluffy hair. “Hungry?”
Jessie had originally planned to give Victor a piece of her mind. Who told him to completely ignore her earlier? He’d promised to stop, but his actions hadn’t shown any intention of doing so.
But before she could huff in indignation, she was captivated by the aroma of the food Victor had brought over.
Her stomach betrayed her.
She had only eaten a little that morning, and diving and swimming burned a lot of energy. Not to mention, she had done plenty of even more strenuous activities after the dive. It would have been strange if she wasn’t hungry!
Jessie felt a fleeting moment of awkwardness as Victor’s hand rested on her head.
She nodded. When she spoke again, her voice was soft and weak. “I’m starving.”
The words startled even Jessie herself as they left her lips.
’I meant to sound fierce, so why did it come out sounding like I’m whining affectionately at Victor?’
She puffed out her cheeks, a little angry at herself.
But Victor didn’t seem to notice. He just smiled, pushed the small bedside table over and secured it, and then took the items off the tray.
“I figured you’d be hungry. Is your throat dry? Want some water first?” As he spoke, Victor was already holding a glass of juice to Jessie’s lips.
Jessie’s cheeks flushed. Even at home, her personal housekeeper didn’t care for her with such meticulous attention to detail.
“It’s not like I don’t have hands…” Jessie muttered, as if scolding Victor for underestimating her. But her actions betrayed her; she drank the sweet coconut juice in small sips from the glass in his hand.
Victor showed no dissatisfaction with Jessie’s contradictory words. Watching her drink with her head lowered reminded him of a newborn kitten—taking tiny sips, yet slurping them down quickly. He couldn’t help but smile, the look in his eyes unconsciously softening.
Jessie felt his gaze on the top of her head. She couldn’t help but lift her eyelids, and just like that, her eyes met Victor’s.
