Raphael’s POV

I shouldn’t have accepted that glass of water. It was a clear glass and she hadn’t wasted any time getting it…

Why was I getting betrayed by those I trusted? First, it was Lynn, and now the girl I literally grew up with.

I wondered as the glass slipped from my hand and shattered into pieces beneath my feet. Water or whatever it was splashed on the trousers

She smiled at me..then something changed. The room went cold, a strong wind blew, and the image fractured. Everything disappeared. Stunned, I glanced around frantically….

The walls, the altar, Dominic. Everything disappeared aside from the hand I held. The person beside me started sobbing, drawing my attention to her…

The woman changed…those emerald eyes were now blue. The dark hair turned blonde. It was Amelia in a black dress, a veil draped over her as she cried.

My eyes popped open, and I was breathing fast. My entire body ached as sweat stuck to me like a second skin. My eyes darted around trying to piece everything together. Everything had gone black what happened then

I was still in the apartment. This was the bedroom. My stomach dropped immediately at the realisation. …then the worst hit me.

The bed was dishevelled, clothes scattered everywhere, my clothes and someone else’s. The room reeked of sex..

A lady’s clothes…my heart beat dropped further realising it was Amelia’s. My heart started racing and I immediately felt filthy

My thoughts screamed. This couldn’t be happening to me. I immediately tried to sit up, but the binds were strained against my wrist. My head snapped to the headboard. My hand was tied to the headboard, and I was unfashionably naked on the bed. I didn’t need a prophet to tell me what happened.

As if on cue, the door was pushed open, and someone came in. My eyes snapped to Amelia, wrapped in a bathrobe, on her phone.

“Amelia!!!” I barked immediately I spotted her. If I weren’t restrained. Lord help me, I would have killed her at that moment.

Her head snapped to me, surprise fleeted through her eyes before it was replaced with satisfaction. “You are awake..” she chimed with a sweet smile.

“I was getting worried, it’s been hours,” she muttered.

My eyes turned red seeing how nonchalant she was. “What did you do Amelia?” I asked her, my voice choked. Her smile widened her gaze, slowly glanced over me to my waist. It felt like she was assaulting me with her eyes.

She clicked her tongue…she looked amazed. “Even when you’re not hard, it’s still huge…” she sighed, shaking her head. She ignored my glare..

“And Braelyn still cheated.” Her gaze slowly met my eyes. “I wonder how impressive Richard must be…” she chimed ..

“Shut the fuck up Amelia…” I was losing my mind, and she was enjoying me breaking.

She chuckled…”Oh dear Raphael. Why are you upset like I took your soul? It’s just sex. I helped you get revenge on Braelyn..” She laughed not a single hint of remorse in her voice

“I knew you would be upset, that’s why I tied you, but I didn’t know you would be this energetic…” she said unapologetically and continued her tale.

“It was a long day…you literally fucked me all the way from the living room to the bedroom with so much vigour at a point it felt like I might collapse in your arms…” Each word she said with glee tore a piece of my heart. I didn’t remember a thing but I knew she wasn’t lying. My body was covered with hickeys and scratches, evidence of what happened.

Even on her neck, I could see multiple hickeys. I really had sex with her. I laughed at her words cutting her off like a maniac who had lost his damn mind.

“I will kill you with my bare hands I swear…” I said coldly as the laugh faded. She stared at me with amusement..

“Why?” She had the guts to ask…

Amelia tilted her head. “Because of her…” she drawled. “Because of a woman who looks into your eyes and tells you she loves you while she dreams of another man’s arm…” she spat.

“What is so special about her?”

I gritted my teeth, glaring at her helplessly.”My marriage has nothing to do with you, Amelia…You will regret this. ” I hissed.

She scoffed at me. “I will regret this..” she arched her brows. “Let me tell you something, Raphael, you are the one who might regret it if you touch me…” her eyes dulled, then she said like a whisper.

“If something happens to me your dear Braelyn will be in danger. The Orlov family will be happy to know the truth about their daughter’s death,” she chimed, then held my face.

“She betrayed you Raphael. Don’t look at me like a villain. “
