Chapter 40: He snapped

Braelyn’s POV

He was mad, I could feel him tremble with rage. Maybe that’s why I wanted to provoke him.

Lucien was seriously nuts in the head to provoke Raphael so openly. His grip was tight on my wrist like he was scared to let go. He didn’t look at me, not even once and I didn’t bother calling out for him.

He pushed the door to our bedroom open then pulled me in before slamming the door shut.

“What do you think you are doing Raphael?” I asked him, trying to keep my voice calm despite fury burning in me.

I wondered if he was jealous. That would be ridiculous. From the way he hissed every time he moved his free hand, I knew he was injured.

Honestly, a part of me, out of instinct, wanted to rush to his side and ask about it. That was what I would normally do but I didn’t while fully knowing he was mad.

I had deliberately stayed by Lucien’s side.

Raphael’s jaw clenched. “What am I doing?” He repeated pulling me before the bed. In a quick move, he spun around. My back bounced against the bed and Raphael climbed over me.

He pinned me under him, with both hands locked above my head while his body of over 6’3″ completely shadowed me. My heart was ramping so hard against my ribcage, I was certain he heard my heartbeat.

“Are you seriously asking me that when you are the one acting out?” He shot back at me. I tried my best to remain calm.

God, he was scary; it wasn’t the calm Raphael who negotiated deals without a sweat. This was the Raphael I first knew, the one we all tried to forget.

Maintaining my calm expression I replied. “I am not the one who fought a harmless man and disgraced himself in front of the lawyer. If I didn’t stop you, who knows how far you would have gone?” I retorted.

A sharp pain shot through my ear. He bit into my earlobes, and a deep chuckle ran straight through my ears. “Was that why you ran into us? You desperately wanted to save your boy toy.” He scoffed.

My eyes darkened. “Did you forget who you are married to?” He asked, his lips pressed against my skin before his tongue slowly rolled behind my ears ..

My toes curled as the sparks hit. He knew my body even better than I did. He trailed down kiss on my neck nailing my spots exactly

A moan threatened to slip past my lips. I bit into my cheeks hard to stop them. I wasn’t going to let him have that. I tried to move my legs but he had me completely locked.

“You were the first to forget who you married, why blame me?” I sneered then my gaze settled on his bobbling Adam’s apple.

“Don’t tell me you are jealous. Dear Raphael, are you already regretting?” I taunted. He laughed, his laughter was so magnetic and alluring that I was lost for the moment

“You overestimated yourself.” Raphael sneered before crashing his lips with mine. My brain went blank, I wasn’t expecting him to kiss, nonetheless, with this much intensity, as if he wanted to drink my very soul.

My toes curled and I tried to wiggle out of his grasp. God, I hated it…why was my body reacting this way?

I freaking hate this man but my traitorous mouth moaned into his mouth. He groaned approvingly, his waist lowered, his arousal pressed against my stomach and I could feel the warmth rushing in between my legs. The wetness was already pooling between my legs.

My head was blank as I fought my body trying to control how bad I was turned on or how my body rubbed against him.

’ You are better than this, Braelyn!’ my thoughts screamed, but I was up against the first man who taught me how pleasurable sex could be.

His teeth dug into my lower lip until a Metallica taste filled my mouth, and my lips involuntarily parted for his wicked tongue, which found mine immediately and started playing a game of tag.

My face was beet red, and I was running out of breath. I became desperate because if we didn’t stop now I might succumb to him as he wants.

He left my lips briefly. I gasped hungrily as he spoke against my lips, still kissing my lower lip.

“Stop trying to push me with Lucien. Just learn to behave. If you want a boy toy so badly, you can get a model, but we both know no one can compare to me.” He said in an alluring voice. He nibbled my chin softly.

I badly wanted to press my legs together, the need there was growing. I hissed then wiggled under him.

My shoulder bumped into his injured shoulder. Raphael hissed and reflexively let go of my hand. I used the opportunity gathering every strength in me to shove him off then landed two slaps around both cheeks

He was too stunned when my hand ran across his face to react and that’s exactly what I needed.

“You slapped me.” He blurted in disbelief.

“I always wanted to for a long time.” I spat before bolting for the bathroom door. If I had tried the main door with his long strides he would have easily caught me

I slammed the door and locked it behind me before my legs gave up. They were still wobbly and sticky in between. How was I so turned on and scared at the same time?

“Braelyn!!” His voice thundered against the door. “Please open up!!” That was a command

“No Raphael. Don’t make me…” I cried out trying to catch my breath.

“Braelyn…” He slammed against the door. I pressed my back against it as an extra barrier.

“No Raphael. No ….” My voice broke. “Why are you turning into the same monster you swore never to be?” I shoot back at him.

I heard his body slumped against the door. I was certain he was also sitting against the door. “Braelyn..” he called again this time…

“I can’t lose…” His voice broke. I closed my eyes, and my mind slowly drifted to a winter night I could not forget.
