“Zaelyane would guide us to where the elves are, and I’ll only be taking Yuura with me.”

“Hmm… so you are planning to get this done as quickly as possible,” Marin commented while rubbing his chin.

Rion nodded. “I am.”

Marin shook his head and added, “It won’t work.”

A frown appeared on Rion’s face, and he asked solemnly, “Why?”

“Zaelyane is an elf — elves are known for their eccentric nature… she probably doesn’t even know which way you have to go to reach other humans,” Marin answered with a faint smile.

Rion blinked a few times and remarked inwardly, ’We are still staying true to the source material, huh…’

“What do you suggest I do?”

Marin’s smile widened, and he proposed, “Instead of leaving in haste, you should first learn about the outside world… their language, how things work there and anything that can make your journey easier.”

A thoughtful expression appeared on Rion’s face, and he mumbled inwardly, ’He is right, even though I can use my Zone and memories from the past world to somehow tackle all the issues, it’s still better to learn about the outside world.’

He looked into Marin’s eyes and said, “Would you teach me?”

Marin shook his head, and seeing that, a frown appeared on Rion’s face — his lips parted to say or ask something, but Marin cut him off.

“I used to be a scholar, so I can teach you about the languages and the vast history, but my geographic knowledge has always been my weakness.”

Rion nodded and mumbled, “I can ask mother…”

Marin nodded as well. “Indeed. As a former princess, she must be educated in geography.”

Rion walked over to the table, placed both of his hands onto it and said, “Let’s begin with the outside language first… I am sure history won’t help me much in the journey.”

Lifting his hand, he raised two things and stated, “Necessity and resources.”

Rion gave him a nod and stated inwardly, ’That’s true for nearly everything.’

Marin smiled warmly and continued with a reminiscing glint in his eyes, “The current language that is used by nearly all humans is Soline, which came from the forgotten Seliona empire.”

Rion furrowed his brows and muttered, “Forgotten empire?”

A sombre expression appeared on Marin’s face. Nodding, he explained, “The few things we know of the Seliona empire is that it used to exist at least a thousand years ago and it was the one from which the common tongue had originated.”

Rion frowned. “Why don’t we know more about an empire that was so big that its language had become the common tongue?”

Marin chuckled and said, “It’s not just the empire. All of our history only amasses what has happened in the past thousand years.”

Confusion covered Rion’s face, and he mumbled, “How is that possible?”

Marin chuckled, his eyes gleamed with sadness, and he whispered, “It’s only possible if someone had forced history to be forgotten.”

Just as those words reached Rion’s ears, a single word escaped his lips. “Them…”

Marin nodded and said, “However, for now you don’t have to care about why they had done that and what they are trying to hide…”

Rion nodded and thought, ’Your words are only making me want to learn them even more.’

Marin tapped the table, pulled Rion’s attention to himself and said, “As I was saying, because we used to have various languages in the past, you might find some rare groups that still speak that language so I won’t just teach you the common tongue but all the languages that I know.”

“I don’t think we have enough time…” Rion commented in a low voice.

Marin slowly shook his head and said, “You are worrying too much. I know you’ll be able to learn them pretty fast.”

Rion fell silent for a few moments, and after thinking of it for some time, he said, “Alright, but a month is the most I will stay to learn.”

Marin smiled. “As you wish.”

Clapping his hand, he added in a cheerful tone, “Let’s begin then!”

Upon seeing him act like that, A faint smile tugged at Rion’s lips, and he agreed with a nod.

For the next few hours, Marin told him about the language that he currently knew and used.

The language of Dhaevrak and the language said to imitate the speech of the gods — Dharvik.

“Dharvik was created by the progenitors of Dhaevrak, who were fortunate to witness the speech of the gods… these gods were the very beings whose bloodline follows within all the tribe members,” Marin explained calmly.
