Clicking her tongue, she muttered, “Did you finally get time from your girlfriend?”

He shook his head, shot back to his feet and replied with a calm smile, “Why are you saying it like I only care about her?”

Lara looked at him with a deadpan expression and remarked, “Because you only care about her?”

He frowned and mumbled with a tilted head, “I also care about you, Father, big sis, Marin, Arok, Chieftain and my friends?”

“Then how come you are only coming to see me on the last day?” She scoffed.

Shaking his head, Rion answered, “Just because I didn’t come to see you doesn’t mean I don’t care. Dora’s parents are too old and weak to take care of her, so I have to stay with her.”

“Ugh! Stop explaining it to me!” She stomped on the wooden floor and looked away from him.

Seeing her childish act, a chuckle escaped him.

On the other hand, a faint smile appeared on Lara’s face, and she asked, “What do you want?”

He sighed and answered without even trying to argue that he didn’t come for anything, “I want you to tell me about the outside world… more specifically, the way to our destination.”

Lara turned her head towards him and stated with a smirk, “You just came for that, didn’t you?”

He smiled inwardly, his hand moved to his chin, and he stated while rubbing it with a thoughtful look, “According to what Zaelyane has told me, we would first have to go to a coastal kingdom, then we would board a ship to the Veiled Islands.”

“Oh? Elves live within the Veiled Islands?” Lara asked with a curious gleam in her eyes.

Rion nodded. “I believe so… she hasn’t told me for sure though.”

Rubbing her chin, she said, “Get me a parchment, I’ll draw it for you.”

He untied the leather pouch strapped to his waist, took out a folded leather parchment with a piece of hardened charcoal, sharpened and dressed in thin fur to make it somewhat similar to a pencil.

Lara raised an eyebrow at the makeshift pencil and mumbled, “How do you even know about these?”

Rion tilted his head. “Know about what?”

A baffled chuckle left her lips.

She spread the leather parchment on the floor. Afterwards, she began to draw the crude map, and while she was doing so, she also explained everything to him,
