Altair held his hand up to the firelight, staring at the white, creamy, sticky mess that coated his palm with the fascination of a scientist discovering a new galaxy.

His chest was still heaving slightly, his breath slowly returning to a calm rhythm. He looked from his hand to Ren.

“It felt really good,” Altair stated in his deep, serious voice. “But… something strange and warm came out. Is this normal? Did I break it?”

Altair listened with an intensity that was almost scary. He was filing every word away in his brain.

Altair frowned slightly, but he accepted the logic.
