Chapter 122: A Small Punishment

“Unfortunately, I don’t have the time to wait with you here. I still have other things that need to be taken care of.” Michael responded.

So, he began approaching David, who was stunned by his words. And when he saw that Michael was approaching him, he began taking steps back, trying to avoid Michael.

Otherwise, with a full powered slap, there was a possibility that he might end up killing someone. After all, the strength that he possessed, it was already beyond what a human could possess.

Anthony collapsed onto the ground, as he was left unconscious. The power that was contained within that slap was not something that Anthony could easily handle.

David and Kate were both shocked when they saw this. Neither of them had ever thought that Michael had the ability of taking care of Anthony with just a single slap.

Previously, when dealing with the other six, it at least looked like Michael was fighting. But now, it was as if an adult was beating up a kid.

Anthony did not get a chance of resisting, before he was sent to the ground, unconscious.

Of the two, David was the most shocked. At least, Kate knew about Michael’s background, and had already seen him in action before.

So, despite the strength that Michael had demonstrated here being way higher as compared to before, at least, she thought that he held back before, when he was dealing with the gangsters.

But for David, it was completely different. He knew Anthony all too well. This guy had previously been a mercenary, before he retired and was hired by his family.

He had been working for his family for a few years now, and was assigned to be in charge of David’s safety.

With the competition between the families, it was inevitable that the members of the family would sometimes be exposed to danger.

Additionally, the Kingsley family was always aggressive in its methods of handling competitors. So, the number of enemies that they had was quite innumerable.

If not for the fact that the Kingsley family was not that easy to deal with, they would have already been overwhelmed by now.

Regardless, the strength that Anthony possessed was something that David knew all too well. Even when facing 3 trained fighters, Anthony was able to hold his own.

But now, in front of a youngster like Michael, only a single slap was enough to take out Anthony. How could David not be shocked?

And as he saw that Michael was still approaching him, fear suddenly erupted within him.

Unfortunately, it seemed that his words landed on deaf ears. Michael continued slowly approaching him, with each step making David’s heart tremble.

It was as if each step that Michael took was a heavy blow to his heart, as he continuously felt scared.

Realizing that threatening Michael once this was not working, David decided to try again.

“In just a moment, the building owner will be here, giving me the surveillance footage. At that time, all your actions, having all been recorded by the surveillance cameras, will make sure that you land in jail, and you will never be able to come out again.” David threatened once again.

“I am done with all this nonsense that you are speaking. The way that you are talking, one might even think that you have the intention of letting things go.

But let me tell you, it is a matter of if I let you go or not. After all, you are the one that came looking for trouble, I didn’t.

Those threats that you are trying to use against me, do you think they will work?” Michael finally spoke.

Since he did not want to continue wasting time listening to all the nonsense that this guy was speaking, he made a move.

With his incredible speed, he suddenly appeared in front of David.

David, stunned by the sudden appearance of Michael in front of him, collapsed onto the ground on his butt.

He looked at Michael as if he was looking at a ghost, as he had never seen someone move at such a speed.

“Today, I will teach you a small lesson. Next time, I will send you off from this world, and rid this world of scum like you.” Michael said with narrowed eyes.

And even before David could react, Michael suddenly stomped down.

As the foot landed, there was a cracking sound that was then accompanied by a loud scream from David, filled with agony.

Kate had been observing from the side, and was shocked by Michael’s sudden action.

Previously, she had thought that after dealing with David’s subordinates, Michael would not deal with David himself, apart from scaring him.

But, who would have thought that Michael would go ahead and break David’s leg? He had broken the leg at the knee, by completely crushing the kneecap and the other bones at the joint.

The hinge joint had already been completely destroyed, making it impossible for David to be able to even move his toes slightly.

And as he was rolling on the ground, screaming from the pain, while clutching his knee that was already bleeding, sweat was already accumulating on his forehead.

Kate approached Michael and asked, “Are you not worried about the retaliation from the Kingsley family? This guy is usually dotted on by his father, the head of the Kingsley family.

With him suffering such an injury, his father might go all out in order to deal with you.”

“Even if I did not deal with him, his family would still come looking for me. Additionally, the two of us are going to clash eventually, with the issue concerning the supermarket chain.

“I don’t think that it is a crime for a citizen to deal with gangsters in self-defense, right? Additionally, I haven’t killed him, I only said that I had the intention, but who knows if I was joking?” Michael shrugged as he responded.

“Of course, I’m joking. Anyway, even if you decided to kill this guy, I wouldn’t mind. The rumors surrounding him, I’m pretty sure that they are true.

Oh, by the way, you just said that you are ridding the world of scum like him, do you have any info on him?” Kate responded, before she remembered something and asked.

“I just got a little piece of information, but don’t worry about it. It will eventually reach the required place, allowing this guy and those behind him to be dealt with.” Michael responded.

Kate raised her brows slightly when she heard that. Then, she thought of something, especially what David had said before.

Currently, in order to be able to be promoted, she needed merits. But those merits could only be acquired by solving cases, or maybe catching gangsters that were wanted by the police force.

But, when had it ever been easy to be able to solve cases? Additionally, the cases that granted most merits were usually taken by the veterans, not a newbie like her.

This was something that she had realized back in Drenn city. So, she understood, for her to be able to reach a high position, it would take quite a long while.

But, as long as she began solving big cases, she would be able to build some reputation within the police force, allowing her to be able to get more cases to solve.

At that time, she would be able to finally succeed in ranking up, which was her current aim.

“Do you think you can give me that information? I will find a method of making sure that this guy is dealt with.” Kate asked.
