Chapter 208: The Clash, Interrogation

Melvin was busy with a lot of work, especially after the collaboration plan with Sky Technologies went through.

Considering the expansion plans of Sky Technologies, it was inevitable that recently, they had a lot of work, especially with the launching of the smartphone and the power bank.

It was around 8 in the morning, and most people were usually going to work at that time. So of course, the traffic was going to be quite high.

Unexpectedly, her car was suddenly blocked by a minivan. At first, she was startled, not sure what the other driver was doing.

And by the time that she was intending to scold the other driver for blocking her way, the doors of the minivan suddenly opened, and several men alighted.

Just by looking at them, she felt a shiver running down her spine, as she understood that these were actually gangsters. And with her intelligence, she understood that this was not an accident, instead, she had been targeted.

This was not the first time that she was being targeted, especially by the competitors of her family, considering that the Walter family dealt with different businesses.

So, she was quite quick to react, as she decided to reverse, to escape. Unfortunately, the moment that she did that, through the rear view mirror, she realized that there was yet another minivan behind her.

It was also blocking her way, making it impossible for her to be able to get away. And as she was still considering other options, the group of men that had alighted from the minivan in front had already surrounded her car.

Each one of them held different types of weapons, including baseball bats, golf clubs, and even machetes.

Despite panicking, she tried to calm herself down, to see how she could handle the situation. It was just that, she was asked to come down from the car, or they would smash it.

Just by judging from the expressions of the people around, she was sure that they were not joking. Additionally, it seemed that her car would not be able to protect her, especially if they ended up smashing the car’s windows and windscreen.

Left with no other choice, she decided to get out of the car. And as she did, she was escorted into the minivan, something that surprised her.

At least, they did not handle her roughly. But even then, she was still cautious, not sure what they intended to do.

And when she noticed that the minivan did not have a registration plate, he understood that these guys were already prepared.

Despite that, as she entered into the minivan, the others followed, before the doors of the minivan were closed, and the minivan drove away.

Inside the minivan, she tried to understand the intention of these guys, but neither of them spoke to her again. She even revealed the fact that she was from the Walter family, and if they needed money, she could transfer it to them.

Regardless of what she did, they did not respond at all, as though they were deaf to her words.

In the end, she could only remain silent, while gazing around, to see if there was going to be an opportunity for her to be able to escape.

But with her being sandwiched between two bulky men, it seemed unlikely that she would be able to escape. That was especially with the minivan moving.

And as she looked outside the window, she realized that they were heading towards the outskirts of the city. This made her quite panicked.

Still she waited, and when the car stopped outside an abandoned factory, she realized that they had already hired at their destination.

She was told to get out of the car, which she did. After that, they began escorting her towards the factory.

But then, someone else emerged from the factory, it was a bald-headed muscular guy. The moment that he appeared, the others around seemed to be respectful of him, with him seemingly being the leader of the group.

She questioned him of why they had kidnapped her, but he did not respond to her as well. Instead, he just made a call, talking to someone else, and from his attitude, it seemed that there was someone else above him.

During the time that the bulky guy was talking on the phone, there was an SUV that suddenly stopped not far from where they were. And in the next moment, another group alighted from the SUV.

Each one of them had a tattoo of a crow, and they made sure to display it. Even though the location of the tattoo was different for each person, they wore clothes that revealed the tattoos.

The moment that the group of five appeared, obviously armed, the group that had kidnapped her immediately became cautious. Even the person talking on the phone ended the call.

From the exchange of the two sides, it seemed that this new group was from an organization called Crow. The moment that Crow was mentioned, she thought of an underworld organization, which was quite infamous.

But, she was shocked when she realized that those that had given after were from the dark society, the biggest gang in the entire eastern province. As for those from the crow gang, they obviously had a conflict with the dark society.

After a heated exchange of harsh words between them, the two sides began fighting. But obviously, since both from Crow were at disadvantage in terms of numbers, they were overwhelmed, and had no other choice but to leave, even forgetting to take the car with them.

And during the clash, Melvin ended up realizing that the baldy bulky guy was very strong and extremely skilled at combat.

That was why, when she realized that most of the attention from the members of the dark society was on those from the crow gang, she tried to escape.

Unfortunately, she was roughly brought back, this time, these guys were no longer gentle with her. It seemed that they were impatient, and after that, they took her inside the factory.

They ended up tying her to the chair that she was still sitting on, and it had already been over 3 hours since then.

She had tried several times to see if she could break free, but the ropes that bound her could not be easily dealt with. That was why until now, she was still here.

And now, when she saw the door opening, she thought that it was one of those gangsters, especially the baldy guy. But now, the person that she saw was actually Michael?

That was why she instinctively called out, finding it unbelievable. At the same time, several thoughts appeared in her mind, as she thought of a possibility that she might have been kidnapped because of Michael.

But those thoughts were immediately extinguished the moment that she realized that Michael was dragging someone with him. Looking at the appearance of the person, she recognized him as the leader of the group that had kidnapped her.

This was something that shocked her tremendously. She had seen for herself just how powerful this guy was. He was able to deal with two people by himself, yet he was, lying helplessly on the ground, being dragged around by Michael.

Instinctively, she tried looking outside, to see if there was anyone else that was coming in. Maybe Michael was not alone, but had come with more people, which was why they were able to subdue this guy?

But she did not see anyone at all. And when she saw the gun in Michael’s hand, she felt that she understood why this guy was so submissive. How could he dare to resist, when if he tried, he might end up being shot?

Michael obviously did not know what Melvin was thinking about. Instead, he suddenly threw the baldy inside the room, before he instructed him to free Melvin.

Despite the pain that he was experiencing, the baldy still cooperated. As for the idea of using Melvin as a leverage, to make it that Michael would leave, even though the idea appeared, he dared not execute it.

He was already afraid of the strength that Michael had demonstrated. And, Michael had a gun with him. So, unless he had a weapon that he could use to directly threaten the life of this lady, it was impossible to use her as a hostage.

Quickly, Melvin was unbound, and she quickly rushed towards Michael’s side. Despite the shock in her heart, and how Michael had been able to find her, she felt much relieved.

Michael on the other hand gazed at the bulky guy and asked, “So, can you tell me the reason why you kidnapped her? And, let me be straightforward. If you dare to lie to me, you will receive a bullet.”

Immediately after he said those words, Michael suddenly pointed the gun towards the baldy, before he pulled the trigger under the astonished gaze of the two.
