Chapter 36: Advanced Level Skill

After contemplating for a while, Michael made a decision. Since he had already confronted Dante, there was no need for him to continue hiding any longer.

For that reason, he might as well go back to Moonstar hotel, and continue staying there for a little while, until the combat skill had advanced to the advanced level.

As for why he did not decide to rent an apartment, it was simply because he felt that it was kind of inconvenient.

“I would like to book a room once again. For a week.” Michael stated, believing, approximately, within about a week, he should be able to advance the combat skill to the advanced level.

This time, he had decided, he would go all out. There was no time for him to rest, so, it was better to work hard, for the points, before relaxing.

The lady behind the desk blinked her eyes as she looked at Michael, wondering if she had misheard him.

Had this guy not just left a little while ago? Could it be that he had changed his mind? Or maybe, whatever he wanted to do, had been rescheduled?

Despite what she was thinking, she was able to react, as she quickly nodded, before she began taking care of the booking procedures.

A little while later, everything was done, and while handing the passkey card to Michael, she said, “I have arranged the same room but you were in before. Please enjoy your stay here.”

Michael simply nodded, before heading for the elevator, heading to the top floor of the building.

On the other hand, the lady at the front desk immediately contacted the manager of the hotel.

“Hello sir, the guest that had left has already returned. Are you free now to come and see him?” The lady asked politely as soon as the call connected.

“Huh? He has returned? Did he not just leave not long ago?” A masculine voice came from the other end, the other party sounding puzzled.

“Yeah, he left, but he came back again. And, he has booked the presidential suite for one week.” The lady responded.

There was a moment of silence before the manager spoke up again.

“Okay, make sure that anything that he needs is given to him. Treat him well, as that is an important guest, treat him as the highest VIP.

I cannot come back right now, as there is a special guest that I am handling. After I am done, I will immediately rush back to meet with that guest.” The manager stated.

“Okay sir.” The lady responded before ending the call.

Michael obviously did not know about the conversation between the lady at the front desk and the manager of the hotel.

Instead, he just went back to the presidential suite that he had left not long ago.

For a moment, Michael felt a little speechless. It was quite embarrassing thinking about how he had been eating dinner the previous day, thinking that that might be the last evening meal that he would have within the hotel.

But now, here he was, less than an hour since he left. It was quite funny to think about it.

Michael did not think much about this, as he took the suitcase back to the bedroom, before he began watching the video that he was watching while in the taxis, on his two-way trip.

As usual, by lunchtime, the lady that was in charge of bringing him meals came over to deliver the food.

Even the lady herself was quite surprised, wondering what Michael was playing at. After all, in the morning, she had been informed that he was about to leave. But now, he had already returned, and he was staying for an entire week?

Regardless, good for her. During the time that she was in charge of delivering meals for him, she did not really have much work to do.

This was to avoid a situation where Michael needed something, and she was unavailable. So, after delivering the meals, she was practically relaxing, waiting for his call in case there was any.

And so far, it was quite surprising that Michael had never called even once, apart from the time that he wanted a suitcase to be bought.

At the moment, it was already 10:46 p.m., and Michael was in the bedroom, lying on the comfy bed. He was lying on his belly, while propping up his upper body by placing his chest on top of a pillow.

In his hand, he was holding his phone, watching a video, while at the same time, paying attention to the screen that was floating in front of him.

By now, the progress had already reached 99%, with only 1% or meaning for him to be able to level up the skill to the advanced level.

During this entire week, he had been watching the videos that he had downloaded.

But, there was a time that the progress completely stagnated, despite him watching more and more tutorials.

In the end, he realized, maybe, tutorials were not enough. So, he downloaded a few videos of fighting tournaments, and as expected, the progress bar advanced.

Before he decided to download the videos of people fighting, he thought about the way that he had managed to advance the driving skill to the intermediate level.

At that time, he had watched several videos of real life car driving, on different terrains.

This made Michael understand, it was not just enough to receive tutorial, sometimes, real life experience was required.

After all, some things were difficult to explain, and could only be done. So, by watching them, he could collect the information on how to react on different occasions.

After all, it was not as if the opponent that he would be facing would just follow what was written or was taught in a tutorial. Instead, the person would react according to the circumstances that they were currently facing.

And of course, it was impossible to be able to write everything that a person could possibly do in a book or teach in a tutorial video.

At the moment, Michael was watching an intense battle between two boxing stars. The two fighters were quite popular, as they usually competed against each other for the championship.

Several videos of their fights had already spread on the internet, and the video that Michael was watching was one that had been recorded during the previous week.

Michael had met up with the hotel’s general manager, who claimed that he was previously dealing with something else before, which was why during the first 2 weeks of his stay within the hotel, the manager never showed up.

Michael was not really bothered about this, and so, the conversation between himself and the manager did not last long, as Michael wanted to continue watching videos.

Back to the present, Michael continued watching the video that was in fast forward, while eagerly anticipating a prompt from the system.

And a few minutes later, just as the fight had reached its peak, finally, Michael received a prompt from the system.
