Chapter 201: No Longer Useful

“Boss, why is that so?” Jeffrey asked in a confused voice, though he had already begun making guesses of why that might be so.

“It is quite simple. From the information that we have, there is a great possibility that this kid called Michael Santos is related to the Santos family from the central province.

Even though he was happy that he had been saved, he was not willing to continue staying inside this room. That was especially if they ended up turning off the lights.

As for turning the lights on by himself, how would that even be possible, when he was tied to the chair? He could not even move around, apart from twisting his body slightly from time to time.

“Big brother, could you let me go? After all, I have already informed you of everything that you wanted to know, right? Can it be considered that I have already completed the task that I was supposed to do?” Kevin hastily called after Jeffrey.

Therefore, they would be the ones that would take care of that brat for him. Even though he would not enjoy the thrill of taking revenge with his own hands, at least, Michael would still suffer.

While he was still fantasizing about what would happen later on, he suddenly heard the sound of footsteps entering the room again. He looked over, thinking that it was Jeffrey who had come back.

But this time, he realized that it was a completely different man. The guy had long black hair that was tied at the back.

After seeing him, Kevin then thought of a possibility that this guy was here to release him. Thus, he began thinking of how to tell this guy to give him more money when he was being released.

As he was still thinking about this, he suddenly noticed that this guy had stopped in front of him. This made him confused, as he thought that the guy was going to untie him.

And as he gazed at the man, confused, he saw the man taking something from his waist. When Kevin looked at what we had taken, he was scared when he realized that it was actually a gun. It was a pistol, and it currently had a suppressor installed.

When the gun was suddenly pointed at him, Kevin was completely panicked. What was going on? Was he not supposed to be released? Was he not supposed to receive some compensation for the information that he had given them?

The guy who was pointing the gun at him seemed to notice the confusion that was in Kevin’s eyes. This made him smile slightly as he asked, “What is it? Do you have something to say?”

“Big bro, why… why do you want to kill me? I-I have already cooperated with you guys, and give you all the information that you asked for from me. And, didn’t the big bro from before just say that I no longer need to stay here? Was I not going to be released from here?” Kevin asked in a panicked voice.

While maintaining a smile on his face, the man licked his lips slightly as he said, “You are right. You have done quite a lot, and you really need some compensation. It is just that, we can give you the compensation, but you might not be able to use it. After all, we cannot risk someone knowing about what is going on here.”

“Huh? Big bro, I swear, I will not tell anyone about being kidnapped, or what has happened here. I will take it with me to my grave.” As beads of sweat appeared on his forehead, Kevin quickly swore.

The guy continued pointing the gun at Kevin’s head, without retracting it. Instead, the smile on his face only intensified, as though he had just found something fun.

“Hmm… How can we trust you? Who can tell, maybe you are going to get kidnapped again, and if they point a gun at you, asking you to tell them everything that happened here, or they would kill you, what would you do?” The guy asked with a mischievous smile.

At this point, Kevin’s entire body was trembling. And to the question that he was asked, he quickly responded without thinking, “Big bro, I-I promise that I won’t let anything slip. I-I will only tell them that you asked me about Michael, nothing more. Anyway… they-they don’t know what happened here, right?”

The smile on the guy’s face suddenly turned cold. Then, he said, “That is exactly what we don’t want you to say. The reason why you were brought here is because of that kid called Michael. So, if you end up telling them the reason why you were out here, would you not be ratting us out?

I’m sorry, but I can only send you on your way. But don’t worry, when we dispose off your body, we will make sure that we throw your body with a few twenty dollar bills. Maybe you will be able to use them in your afterlife.”

“You brought me here because of that kid? Is he the one who asked you to kidnap me? I promise, I will never get close to Kate. From today on, I don’t even love her anymore.
