“Do you know that girl well? Or you only know about her from an investigation?” Jeffrey asked once again.

“Her? I know her. She is from the Morgan family. She is the police officer, and recently went out for a training program. But the training program doesn’t really last that long, and she should be back by next year.” Kevin hastily responded.

Jeffrey nodded at that. Now, he was sure, this was not some kind of plan. Instead, it was just a coincidence.

But why was it that coincidence after coincidence occurred, only to ruin their plans? This was something that was quite suspicious, but unfortunately, he had no answer to the question.

“Okay, I want you to tell me all the information that you have on this person called Michael. The more detailed the information, the better,” Jeffrey instructed.

“I did an investigation on him. According to the information that I managed to obtain, it seems that he is kind of related to Sky Technologies. The information that I acquired did not state clearly what kind of relationship he has with Sky Technologies.

Still, that kid usually hangs out with Alex from the world of family, Raymond from the Morgan family, and even Dalton from the Anders family, together with others from some influential families within the city.

To Jeffrey’s question, Kevin shook his head. He had not interacted with Michael that much, and the information that he had gotten, he did not pay my attention to it. He only saw that Michael had some relationship with Sky Technologies, and he thought that Michael might have a relative who was an executive in that company.

Jeffrey took out his phone, before he made a call to Thomas.

“How is it? Is everything going right?” Thomas’s voice came through the phone’s earpiece as soon as the call connected.

“Yes, I have. Still, there is someone that I need to get information on. It is someone called Michael Santos. Could you help me investigate if he is related to Sky Technologies, and Annex supermarket chain?” Jeffrey replied.

There was a moment of silence, before Thomas responded, “Okay, give me a minute or two.”

Immediately after that, the call ended.

For Thomas, it was not much of a problem for him to be able to find this information. After all, with dark society being the biggest gang in the Eastern province, it had quite a lot of connections.

So, as Jeffrey waited, his phone suddenly began ringing again. The call came from Thomas.

“Boss.” Jeffrey received the call.

“It is verified. This person called Michael Santos is related to those two. He is the owner of both Annex Supermarket chain and Sky Technologies. The acquisition of both of them was within less than a month.” Thomas said in a low voice.

After that, he asked, “Tell me, why did you want the information on this kid? Don’t tell me, is he involved in anyway regarding the sabotaging of our plans? If so, things are going to get complicated. It is going to be complicated, to the extent that the plan might entirely fail.”
