Chapter 19: Interrogation

As he was being dragged away by Michael, the man tried to struggle and break away.

But, the strength that was demonstrated by Michael, together with the pain that the man was experiencing at the moment, did not allow him to break free.

When the man realized that Michael wanted to attack again, his entire body trembled. He was currently curled up, but was not sure about where Michael would strike next.

“Okay, speak up. You better tell me what brought you here. And, if you try lying to me, I will know. And if I find you lying, I swear, the pain that you will experience will be worse than this.” Michael said as he gazed at the man coldly.

The man nodded in response. And after taking several deep breaths, he finally began speaking.

“I came over because I wanted to take you back. I wanted to use you as a scapegoat.” The man said through gritted teeth.

It was just that, his words completely puzzled Michael. He was wondering, why would this guy want to use him as a scapegoat?

“Why?” Michael asked, a frown on his face.

“You are part of the Shadow Assembly gang. But you being here implies that you must have run away. I thought, I could use you as a scapegoat, so that I can get back into the gang.” The man responded.
