“Susan!” Kate called out Susan’s name.

She was also shocked by how quickly Adrian was able to find the information. But even then, she did not doubt it in the slightest.

Susan did not know about the fact that Michael was behind all the information related to the Kingsley family and the former police chief being revealed online. But, Kate knew about it.

Thus, she understood that there was a computer expert around Michael. And the skills of that computer expert were of a high level, to the extent that even the experts from those big companies could not compare.

It was just that, she had never expected that Adrian was this skilled. To be able to get all the information within less than 2 minutes, just how incredible was that?

Susan obviously wanted to say more, but in the end, looking at Kate’s expression, she stopped herself. But still, she was quite doubtful.

So, she went and sat next to Kate, who was sitting next to Michael. She was also curious, what kind of information had they managed to dig out in less than 2 minutes?

The information that had been acquired by Onyx was quite detailed. It contained over 200 pages, which would take quite a considerable amount of time for Kate to be able to read.

But the same could not be said about Michael. So, before Kate could even respond, Michael began scrolling.

The speed at which he was scrolling was shocking to the two ladies, to the extent that they looked at him with disbelief clear in their eyes.

While Kate could hold back her doubts, the same could not be said about Susan.

“Are you sure that you are reading? At that speed, are you going to be able to get any information from there?” She asked with a frown on her face.

At this moment, she was already beginning to doubt Michael. Maybe, this information that he said he had obtained, it was all just a sham?

Maybe, he was pretending to be fast reading, then, give them all false information about some guesses that he was making.

Michael completely ignored Susan’s questioning. Instead, he just focused on reading. The speed at which he was reading was the same speed that he usually used to read when grinding for SP.

As for raising concerns due to the speed that he was using to read, Michael did not care about that, at least for the time being. In any case, if the two of them went ahead and told this to other people outside, who would believe them?

But now, she trusted him? Just what kind of blind trust was this? Or was this what they usually said that once one falls in love, they become blind?

’I will never fall in love in this life. Otherwise, will I not become an idiot like Kate? All the facts are in front of her, but she can’t see?’ Susan swore in her heart.

They did not have to wait for long. Just a few minutes later, Michael finished going through the entire document.

As he finished reading the document, he could not help but furrow his brows slightly. The information that was contained within this document was kind of unexpected to him.

“Michael, can you tell me about him? Is he some gangster or an enemy of my family?” Kate inquired at this moment.

Michael looked at her, before he gazed at Susan. It was obvious, he wanted Susan to leave.

And when Susan noticed that Michael was looking at her, obviously indicating that she should leave, she could not hold back any longer.

“Are you sure that you and that guy are not in cahoots? When he came, he wanted me to leave. And you, after ’going’ through the information, you are also asking me to leave? Are you trying to fool Kate? Let me tell you, I’m not going to allow you to do that.” Susan did not hide the anger on her face at all.

And after she spoke, she immediately stood up, while taking Kate’s arm, trying to pull her away. “Kate, let’s go. It seems that you misjudged him.”

Michael did not react to Susan’s words and actions. In any case, he understood that the information that was contained within this document was not something that just anybody was supposed to know.

Looking at Susan, Michael could tell that she cared about Kate. But, this information could actually land her in trouble in case she ended up spreading it outside.

It was because Michael did not want her to get hurt, as she was Kate’s friend, that he wanted her to leave. As long as she did not know about this information, then she would not have to be worried about accidentally leaking the information.

“Is it really necessary for her to leave?” Kate did not allow Susan to pull her away, as she gazed at Michael and asked.

From the expression on Michael’s face, it was clear that the information that he had found was much more serious than she had expected.

But, was it really necessary for Susan to leave? What was it that was contained within the information that Susan was not allowed to know?

Michael took a deep breath and said, “The information that is contained within this document, once she knows about it, she is bound to be in danger. That is especially if she ends up leaking this information.

So, it is for her own good if she doesn’t listen in on this. As for you, since you were invited, then there is no problem with you knowing this information.”

“Huh? Seriously?” Susan was left dumbfounded when she heard that. Previously, she had not thought that this might be the reason why Michael wanted her to leave.

But still, she felt that Michael wanted her to leave, so that he could continue tricking Kate. But that was something that she was not willing to allow to happen.

“While she usually goes around talking nonsense most of the time, I can assure you that she is very good at keeping secrets. Additionally, she only acts like this around me, nobody else.” Kate finally spoke.

She understood Susan the best. Even with her siblings, she was never like this. But around Kate, she was always free. Additionally, there was no any other friend that she had, whose relationship was close as compared to that of her and Kate.

Michael gazed at Susan for a moment, thought about it, then decided to reveal the information. In any case, he had already told them in advance what would happen if the information was leaked.

Hence, if she ended up in trouble later on, that would be her own problem. It was not as though Michael knew her well, to care so much about her. So, since she wanted to know, then he would let her know.

Susan sat down beside Kate, her ears perked. She wanted to hear what it was that, if it was really revealed, would land her in trouble. If it was just some made up story, she would immediately expose it, and they would leave. She could not let her friend be fooled by someone, just because she fell in love with him.

“The person that you met with is from a secret government organization called NEXUS…” Michael started.
