Chapter 90: Losto Shooting Range

It did not take long for Michael to be able to arrive at the location of the shooting range.

Losto Shooting Range was located along one of the main roads that went through the commercial district, easy to spot even from a distance.

The building was modern and boldly designed, with tall glass panels across the front and the name ’LOSTO SHOOTING RANGE’ displayed in clean metallic lettering above the entrance.

Michael parked the car in the parking lot located in front of the building. He could see, several sports cars had been parked here, indicating that Alex and his group had already arrived.

As he approached, Michael could clearly see the reception hall through the transparent facade, along with the display wall showcasing various replica firearms and trophies.

As Michael approached the entrance of the building, he noticed that in the lobby area, Alex was sitting there, probably waiting for him.

And when Alex noticed Michael walking into the building, he immediately stood up, and approached with a bright smile on his face.

“You are here.” Alex said as he arrived next to Michael.

Michael looked at Alex with slightly raised brows. This guy, from the way that he was speaking, it seemed that he was a little more reserved as compared to before.

Most probably, Martin had already informed him that he was the one who had acquired Sky Technologies. Maybe that was the reason why Alex was acting a little more restrained as compared to before.

In response to Alex’s words, Michael simply nodded. Then, he asked, “Where can I get the membership? You know, just like I told you before, this is my first visit to such a place.”

“Oh, right. I almost forgot about that.” Alex seemed to have only remembered this at the moment.

“Let’s go, there is an office there, we can get the membership inside.” Alex said as he pointed towards a door that was located on the left of the lobby area, directly opposite of the reception area.

“Okay.” Michael nodded, before the two of them headed straight for the office.

Alex did not even bother to knock, as he simply opened the door, and stepped in. Despite being rendered speechless by how casual Alex behaved, Michael still followed behind him.

The office setup was quite simple, with just a single desk in the middle, a shelf behind it with several books, and a couch with a coffee table to the right of the room.

In front of the desk, two chairs that were currently unoccupied stood. And behind the desk, there was a middle-aged man with a rough beard, and slightly disheveled short black hair, going through something on his laptop.

Even when the door was opened, he did not bother to look up, as though he did not care about who had entered.

“Hey Max, my buddy here wants to acquire the membership.” Alex said as he plopped down onto the couch made with expensive leather cushions.

“You know the rules.” Max, who seemed to be in his 30s, responded without looking up.

“Hey, what do you take me for? All those friends that I have, which one of them does not qualify to acquire the membership here?” Alex questioned, as though he was offended by Max’s response.

Max finally raised his head, looking at Alex. Then, without saying anything, he shifted his gaze, looking at Michael.

He scrutinized him, as though he was trying to see if he had ever seen Michael somewhere. It was just that, no matter how much he looked at him, he could not recognize him at all.

“Are you sure about that?” Max asked as he gazed back at Alex.

“Hahaha! I knew that you would be unfamiliar with him. Anyway, let’s not mention his origin, let’s just mention the fact that he is currently the owner of Sky Technologies.” Alex laughed as he responded cheekily.

“Huh?” Max was dumbfounded by this response, as he deeply gazed at Michael.

Looking at the expression that was on Max’s face, Alex laughed even harder. This expression, it was quite rare to be able to see.

Max was someone who always had a serious expression on his face. Most of the time, he was indifferent, not one that easily reacted, even to some things that were quite shocking to ordinary people.

So, for Alex to be able to see such an expression on Max’s face, it was something to be joyful about.

Immediately after that, he began typing something on the keyboard of the laptop, and in a little while, he asked for Michael’s ID.

Michael simply nodded. Though, he was quite curious about this guy, who apart from the initial surprise of knowing that he was the owner of Sky Technologies, he did not seem to have any other reaction.

Most probably, just like Alex, this guy was from some big background within the city. But for some reason, in the information that he had received from Adrian, this guy was not mentioned.

“Okay, since we are done here, let’s directly go to the armory.” Alex said with an excited expression on his face.

Michael nodded, and the two of them left the office.

The armory was located slightly deep into the building, as they had to go through a corridor, before they got there.

Outside the armory, two people stood guard. Each one of them had a bulky frame, with a fierce aura around them, making it easy for them to be able to intimidate someone.

“These two, they were previously mercenaries, but then, they were hired to guard this place.” Alex whispered to Michael, who in turn, nodded in understanding.

It was no wonder that he felt that these two people were not ordinary. It turned out, they were mercenaries before.

“By the way, while in this city, try avoiding clashing with Max. He has some gangster background.” Alex whispered to Michael once again.

Although surprised, Michael still nodded in response.

At the door, the two of them were required to scan their fingerprints, before they were allowed to enter.

The armory was well‑equipped, that it slightly surprised Michael. This was after all his first time visiting such a place, so, he was quite curious.

Inside the armory, the staff had already arranged everything for them, as Alex had previously made arrangements.

Before acquiring the intermediate level marksmanship skill, Michael had to read quite a lot about guns and how to handle them.

So, looking at the guns, he could identify most of them. At the same time, he felt, he had made the right decision by deciding to acquire the marksmanship skills first before coming over.

As he looked around, Michael could see rows of polished pistols, which were placed in velvet‑lined trays, compact sidearms, full‑size service pistols, and heavy competition models, each maintained to perfection.

Along the wall, semi‑automatic rifles were mounted on reinforced racks, from lightweight carbines suited for quick drills to precision rifles designed for long‑range shots.

Shotguns occupied the lower shelves, pump‑actions and semi‑autos both, their barrels gleaming under the armory lights.

Further in, the heavier equipment were placed behind a secured section. Submachine guns were locked in a glass cabinet, arranged neatly beside compact PDWs built for close‑quarters runs.

There were pistol‑caliber carbines with adjustable stocks. A separate rack held the long‑barreled marksman rifles, equipped with high‑grade scopes and stabilizers for the 150‑meter lanes.

Even a few specialty weapons; high‑velocity target pistols, competition revolvers, and suppressed tactical setups, were included among the options, each tagged and ready to be checked out.

By the time everything was laid out, the armory felt less like a storage room and more like an exhibition room.

Alex intended to give Michael an introduction of everything, but just to save time, Michael told him that there was no need.

This in turn left Alex confused, as he asked, “Are you sure? You said that this was your first time visiting such a place. So, if I don’t give you the introduction, how are you supposed to know what to do next?”

Michael simply shrugged as he said, “I said that this was the first time that I was visiting such a place. It is not the first time that I have used a gun.”
