“My family can be considered to be one of the powerhouses within the eastern province. I believe that you have heard of Morgan Enterprises that originates from Brenton city?” Kate responded before she asked.

The old couple was shocked upon hearing her words. She was actually from the Morgan family?

It could be said, while this Morgan family was not very popular within this city, but, they had seen news about it.

Michael looked over, realizing that the person who had called him was a young boy with curly brown hair, at the age of about 12 years.

Michael could remember this kid, he had found him in the orphanage during the time that he joined.

“How is it, Victor? Are you guys okay?” Michael asked as he hugged Victor, who had rushed towards him.

“Yeah. As soon as those guys came, grandpa John and grandma Rebecca asked us to come into the dormitory and lock the doors.” Victor responded.

Michael was slightly relieved upon hearing that. At least, those guys did not touch the children. Otherwise, Michael would not forgive them easily.

The other children also gathered around Michael, as if they had found a pillar of support.

Currently, within the dormitory, Michael was the oldest. Among the kids within the dormitory, the oldest among them was only 13 years old.

Usually, if a kid reached at the age of 15 or 16, they would be taken away by Dante and his gangsters.

While others with better physiques would be forced to join the gang, those who did not meet the requirements would be used as labor.

They would be servers in bars, or would work as delivery boys for the gangsters.

After that, he left the dormitory, and headed to the other building.

As soon as he entered into the office, which was quite small, with only a desk, a wooden chair behind it, an old wooden shelf with several old books, and a bench, he saw two people inside.

Currently, Kate was standing in the office, with John sitting behind the desk. As for Rebecca, she was not within the office, busy with something somewhere else.

When Michael entered, the two people within the office looked over.

Michael was just about to ask what it was that they wanted him to do when suddenly, Kate approached him.

“I’m sorry about before.” Kate suddenly apologized, with a sincere expression on her face.

Michael was momentarily stunned, not understanding what Kate was implying. But in the next moment, he understood what she was speaking about.

“There is no need to worry about that.” Michael responded. Though, he was slightly confused, wondering why she apologized.

But after thinking about it, he realized, maybe John had already told him about his past. Maybe this was the reason why she decided to apologize.

Seeing that Michael did not seem to care about the past incident, Kate felt slightly relieved.

“It seems that the two of you have met before?” John asked, looking at them with a confused expression on his face.

“Yeah, we have met a few times before.” Philip responded, though he did not mention anything about being arrested.

Kate, who was about to respond, could only nod in agreement after Michael said those words. After all, it was true, they had met twice already, and this was the third time.

“Okay, then that’s good. Michael, the reason why I asked you to come over is because I have decided to sell the orphanage to this young lady here.” John nodded before speaking.

Michael was dumbfounded upon hearing that. He could not help but look at Kate, wondering what she was playing at.

From his encounters with Kate, it seemed that this lady kind of hated gangsters. But, what was the reason for her to buy the orphanage?

Just because she hated the gangsters, that did not imply that she would be able to deal with them, right?

Facing Michael’s gaze, Kate did not shy away. Instead, she said, “I have a special background. As long as some people within the city know that this orphanage is under me, they will not cause trouble for the people here.”
