Chapter 120: Ruined Lab dungeon

SKY Ocean Hunters’ underbelly is cold from the stone flooring the temperature of the ruined lab is still temperature controlled. The halls are long and wide minimally decorated with chiselled images of waves and other atmospheric images. SKY Ocean Hunter waves Styx forward to scout ahead given with large the hallways are there is a large chance that this place is a sort of maze.  SKY Ocean Hunter, “Tyr what do you think?” Tyr is a treasure trove of information and quite incite full SKY Ocean Hunter fills that maybe when they go under the sea to his home. Tyr says, “For the most, it seems to be a first realm lab under the Canious Combine. The historical records are sparse but we know they were fundamentally important as in many subsequent cultures that still exist today. We know that being a Canious is the same as being a master of any craft. What I do know thanks to my research is that they had a better understanding of the world than we do. We should thoroughly explore this place.” Tyr wants to find the gem but also Canious Combine Constructs as they are masters of crafts even technicians are more qualified than modern-day expertise. Tyr is going to try to push them each to do more with their lifestyle classes. 

SKY Ocean hunter listens carefully to his friend eyeing the path Styx went down. He wants to be the first to explore everything. He knows as a leader he has to do what is best for the team. SKY Ocean Hunter says, “how do you think we will do in this dungeon. Challenge Mode is no easy thing. Plus you still haven’t told what happened with Dragon Priest after you all collect the dragon essence from him. Even Ninth Immortal is mum about it.” Besides the three short sisters who SKY Ocean Hunter has put into separate chapters, Ninth Immortal is the enigma she gained the most and the special quest that is associated with her Dragon Master class. 

Tyr says, “You know what man if I could I would. It’s her power and her secret to tell those she wants to. Plus you she taught some didn’t you manage to get anything from her during that time you guys spent together alone.” He too wanted to learn the dragon casting techniques she uses. It is basically tailored for people to use, unlike normal Dragon casting which uses a lower Draconic Language. The chance also to spend more time with Ninth Immortal would have been amazing. The dragon master trials brought them all closer together that Final dragon was truly epic. 

SKY Ocean Hunter says, “DUDE! Don’t say it like that. You are making it sound like I was cheating on Lux…” SKY Ocean Hunter shudders as he says that. If there is one person who knows how scary his girlfriend really is! it’s him…”And no I didn’t Ninth Immortal, is a slave driver. The whole time it was training no rest, no question, and no meals. Just me under her whip. Hey! Don’t say a damn thing I didn’t mean it like that.” SKY Ocean Hunter lifts his hammer pretending he is going to smash it into Tyrs’ head if he said anything. 

In another realm…

Ninth Immortal says, “Lux what’s wrong?”

Lux says, “I couldn’t tell you I just a weird feeling is all. I’m just going to send John a message.”

SKY Ocean Hunter nearly jumps when he gets the notification that he received a message from Lux. Lucky for him Styx finally reappears from his exploration. Styx shares his updated map of the lab floor. Tyr and SKY Ocean Hunter can get a better idea of what he means. Styx says, “Calm down Carnel! It’s just me Hermanos. Take a look a the map each path leads to a lab. I think we have to find one of three keys. there are three doors at different ends of the building each of them is locked. They don’t have key slots to pick so it must some other kind of key to open the doors. Plus of course, I don’t know what each door leads to. They are numbered respectively one A, two D and Three P.1”

Tyr says, “don’t blame your a spirit-being I’m still trying to get used to not hearing your footsteps. You move around like a ghost haha.” Tyr skips over SKY Ocean Hunters tail letting them all look at the map. The doors are leading to different sections the legends of the map haven’t been updated yet but Tyr knows that eastern leads to the basement, though he has no idea what one ‘A’ stands for. The northern door or two ‘D’ is an extension of the ground floor labs so once they get in there they might get a clue as to what they were working on. Tyr is hoping that each room is a different lab as even the tools they use will be of high quality. 

SKY Ocean hunter says, “There are five rooms in total we will clear all of them. After that, we can decide what we want to do with what we find in the various labs. SKY Ocean Hunter has high hopes for the entire dungeon run. Labs like these can lead to lost tech and other lifestyle classes. Given his recent to make copies of players like Medium Bunz for each chapter will turn a large number of resources they are gathering into production to be sold and used by the guild itself. He is especially interested in Alistair who has shown a similar managerial skill without a drop in production. Plus Alistair is obsessed with ships. SKY Ocean Hunter needs to temper Alistairs’ more eccentric traits but that can come later. 

Styx points to the three rooms closest to one ‘A”. These three labs are right next to one another and will make it easy for them to start drawing some conclusions. Styx even thinks that if this building follows any kind of sense. These three labs will be the common labs used by the new recruits and technicians. And the other two will be more specialised often separated labs are used to deal with dangerous materials or given they are still on the first floor for seniors. Styx says, “I think this is the place to start Hermanos. Three labs that we can investigate in a relatively short period of time.” 

Tyr and Styx look at SKY Ocean Hunter who analysing the map a little closer, nodding as he concurs with Styx. SKY Ocean Hunter says, “let’s hit it boys please remember that we are doing challenge mode so we do have to be careful every death we suffer will reduce the difficulty and rewards. I am watching your backs so let’s see how hard we can go.” The boys move towards the three labs in, formation Styx in front followed by Tyr then SKY Ocean Hunter.  The labs seem to be behind three blue doors. Tyr makes a note of the colour of the door because sometimes these things matter. Everyone has their own things they look out for. 

Styx pushes the door to the first lab. The three labs are only distinguished by the triangles on the door. Which number from one to three. The door opens, like a garage door rolling up inside the lights start to flicker on. The lights are soft not hurting the eyes at all. The boys step inside on the minimap is a small red dot at the corner, behind the cages that are broken open. Styx uses hand signals to show that he will attack first. He slips into the nethers using one of his stealth skills, then pounces on the monster. 

A sharp shriek is the only thing to escape as the monster. Then Tyr throws two fireblasts before three blades of water finish it off. The level 32 huminoid monster falls to the ground. It looks like a twisted man whose limbs grew too big for his body and a weird golden chain around his made from magic. They gain a decent amount of experience of course the discovery bonus and pioneer bonus all help to push the number of experience points each monster gives. Styx says, “if this is the cactus then the Tequila will be great.” 

SKY Ocean Hunter says, “Yeah it should be a great experience please for use. What do the notes say?” Tyr is looking at the cages filled with bones long since turned to dust. he looks for anything that might help them figure to what this lab is. GIven its small size they start to go through every nook and crany of the place. 

Tyr, comes across something that should not be here and says,”I Found something!!!”
