Chapter 62: Dungeon Part 3
Amalya follows Tyr his gracefuly spear dance has inspired her. Her ssister tell her all the time that she is too obessed with fighting and old Karateka movies. She has always loved because like Tyr they may not be the best but they are solid in the fights. Ever since she joined Amalya has watched him and has felt that he is holding back. Now that shield has been destroyed by Lindwuurm Tyr moves rapidly flowing from one attack into the next. Oddly he has stopped using skills but his damage has increased. Being only a level fifteen Amalya is sure she can adjust her style to do the same the only problem is that she is normally a ranged fighter.
Throwing herself at the roaring Lindwuurm Amalya lets her body try to replicate as much as she can. The Lindwuurm is almost half dead its scales cut and oozing the blood of a dragon. Bolts of arrows line its spine like the dorsal ridge on some dinosaurs. The sliver fire winged beauty relentless in her attacks. Nineth Immortal like Tyr seems to found themselves during this fight. Unlike any fight before with the sisters involved. The two leaders are fighting against the Lindwuurm Frantically. Rena and Lucinda are also fighting in their own way each of Lucindas’ attacks is considered and brutal. While Rena and who is taking on the head of the monster makes sure to after every blocked attack she retaliates.
Amalya striking the Lindwuurm. Its body moves fast instead of blocking she does like Tyr following the momentum of the scaly body blow to spins herself around and attack again. Tyr just ahead cutting down interrupting the Tail. Amalya wonders how that’s possible Tyr shouldn’t be able to stop the monster from attacking but he just did that with only a simple attack. The tail of the Lindwuurm spasms shook from the attack it just received. The entire battle is chaotic in Amalyas’ eyes. Rena is only surviving through potions and spamming her block. Lucinda is a stable damage platform hardly moving at all. If she could get more involved she could double her damage. Dodging the whip-like lower half of the body. Tyr clings to the monster using it to create distance from the centre leaving Amalya to block with her shield. Thrown back saved by the hard wall from flying clean out the dungeon she losses seventy health.
Her spirit amour has just negated half the damage she just received on her battle log a skill had just been used. ‘How did he know?’ The way Tyr is throwing everything at the Lindwuurm he should have attacked just like Amalya. [Recoil – Beast skill] has just flung not only her but her damage back to her. The Lindwuurm coils up again this time its body glows green! Its broken scales fall of its body turning into a smog that enveloped the Lindwuurm.
Nineth Immortal says, “Use all your skills now!”
Everybody freezes Nineth falling out of the air. The Lindwuurm grumbles in Dragons’ speak its eyes a bright orange menace through the smog. [Gaze] has hit the entire team giving the Lindwuurm a much-needed respite from the battle.
Lindwuurm says, “Why are you attacking me as a member of the temple you should revere dragons.” Its now crooked jaw from one of Lucindas’ well-placed attacks spills blood and fire as it grumbles. Nineth Immortal under the pressure of the skill [Gaze] manages to grumble something back.
Nineth Immortal says, “the old man is on his last legs without that he will die.” The Dragon Priest wants the power of the dragons to complete his mission.
Lindwuurm says, ” I don’t care! Five thousand years we wasted away while the others grew. We languished under his so-called protection. We experienced nothing but the passing of time. Do you know what that is like? To know and feel life all around you and be denied. No More! I say no more mother, your time has passed leave me in peace and will let you go.”
Nineth Immortal says, “Peace it’s too late for peace. The Dragon is reborn we are already at war!”
Lindwuurm says, “says one who has never known war. You doom yourselves with this my brothers and sisters will die before letting you take us back.” Nineth Immortal shows the Lindwuurm her tattoo with its mythical glow. Forcing the Lindwuurm to blink breaking Gaze.
Lucinda roars her skills, her Tiger Spirit canon shining with power. Explodes a might blast [Spirit shot] pouncing out at the Lindwuurm! A direct shot in the eye, its head flings back in pain and its casts [Fountain Fire]. The others all already familiar with the fountain of fire skill start dodging all but Rena. She moves in closing the distance between her and the Lindwuurm fire fountain. She lunches mid-jump activated her skill. A wave of colour envelops her propelling her forward into the lower jaw of the LIndwuurm. [Shield Bash] connects slamming shut the mouth three deadly explosions go off.
Nineth Immortal [Rapid Fires] All twelve bolts, Amalya also in between those deadly black damage values she hor [Spirit Shot]. With each explosion, it weakens it, the shots taking advantage of newly exposed vulnerabilities. The LIndwuurm flesh ripped apart from the explosion it lower jaw hanging on by a tendon or two. Its’ lush green scales are black and grey with soot and dripping red with blood. Its mighty orange eyes are cloudy on being near death.
It enters a weakened state the damage from its own attack had crippled it. Renas’ [Shield Bash] Being every part counter-attack, critical and most importantly the system attributed the destruction of multiple vital areas in the neck and mouth of the Lindwuurm to Rena. Her attack being the catalyst stacked all the other attacks together and then applied the doubling critical damage and the further doubling counter.
The Lindwuurm survives only through its blood. [Paasive 2: Blood of the Dragon!] Tyr says,” run!” Normally the skill would give the dragon a boost, as its health hits 30% and below. The manner in which they just struck the dragon activated all three levels of [Blood of a dragon] unfortunately the damage it received is even beyond that. Also given the fact that this is no ordinary dragon the system activates its Legacy.
[Lindwuurm Legacy] activates the growing the lIndwuurm unnaturally as a stuffed duck. The pressure is unable to build up properly expands the body in some places. wherever they are cuts or holes in the Lindwuurm Golden blood spills to the ground melting it. Lucinda is first set up her shield in the tunnel. She is soon by Amalya who used her new dodging ability to cover a great distance quickly. Rena last to arrives sweaty and terrified her shoulder pad has been completely melted by the Dragons’ golden blood.
Under the conditions of its special rating as an ancient monster and the amplifying effect of the Lindwuurm Legacy catalyses with its Crysopel Aspect giving it one aspect randomly to the Lindwuurm.
Lindwuurm says, “Your finished now I will be reborn!” Its scales try to hold the power back of its golden blood. Its body stretches flesh-ripping, bones forcibly elongated the transformation starts at the tail. The tail is a golden ridged spear tip, turn a lovely jade the body grows plate scales layered like armour. Its looks like a mighty snake being born under a sea of golden blood and ashes. The Lindwuurm is in the process of transforming into a Crysopel. This kind of higher Dragon is similar to a snake that can fly like the Aido Hiwu found in the Lush jungles of Aaguria. Unlike the Long Dragon, it doesn’t have two feet in the front half of its body and has a sleeker look letting its swim through the air, ground and sea. Often mistaken for the Jormungand found in the Machine empire while both Dragons are mythical snakes that fly Jormungands are manufactured by the Machine Empire. The Jormungand forming the main air force vehicle in the empire.
Tyr rushes forward waving Nineth immortal back into the tunnel she just squeezed into. Tyr drops his spear activating his innate skill, [Flame Field] waves of fire are expelled from his body burning everything around even the Lindwuurm. A sicking pain-filled laugh is let loose by the Beast.
Everyone hears the Lindwuurm say in common, “Fire cannot burn a dragon.” This is a universal truth that anybody with common sense knows but Tyr is fire, light and all those unseen things that the sun releases. While his attack may be called fire, the dragons flame and a solar flare are about as similar to one another. As an ice cube is too an iceberg.
Also from much like before Tyr knows that his Field of Fire of meant to be used alongside his other fire attacks as it improves the power. Tyr whole body shine he is the Sovereign of the Sun. [Fire Force] +[Fire Field]+ Fire Enchant. Fire force is an internal or utility skill-boosting his fire damage by three hundred per cent for thirty seconds. His external Force field does the same and he enchants his spirit layering all his attacks in the fire. Tyr intentionally in between attacks activities every skill he can to make it appear he is randomly using his skills saving.
He puts his hands forward, activating the only skill that would benefit from all these used together. The potion bottle he takes melts just after he drinks it from the heat.
Tyr shouts for the first showing what the system means by utilisation. His body illuminates with power his aspects all have been ignited Body mind and spirit set ablaze. Pressing his hands together he makes his fire envelop his dropped spear. The shaft cracks with fire, a tip of flames the spear burns just above him spiralling forward with deadly intent…
