Chapter 202: I got stones in every area code

The road to Hoshi is a long paved cutting through the several forests and groves where random forest people live. On the road, the obligatory forest hoodlum appears to rob the road train. The bum of a bandit is all alone and a level thirteen. His hood is a farmer’s hat lined with leaves and a net to make the cowl. 

“Alright! Hand over your coins, and nobody will get hurt.” His dagger is as thin as a toothpick, just like him. The poor boy doesn’t even have enough meat on his bones to feed leapers craving. Salome sniffs his feet, unsure of what he is doing. Even to Salome, the boy is no threat. Her tail wagging about as Ori from Leapers grabs his lance.   

“Go home, boy.” Ori puts his lance at the boy’s neck. 

[Intimidation failed!]

“You don’t scare me, this here is Bush-wacker turf pays up or else!” The boy’s voice is cracking up. He must have just hit puberty. Ori’s demeanour changes, leaper growling fangs bared. 

“Or what?” The boy suddenly realises he is alone with three enemies. His boss is further south, trying to take control of the road south to Pike. They left him behind because he is too young to be of any use. He has no skills besides being good with a dagger from years of hunting forest rabbits. He can’t fail, he is going to be the best bandit ever and bring food to his village. These are guys are rich and there is only one guard. The driver is probably just a merchant. 

“I’ll gut ye! I swears I will.” The boy stammers, putting his toothpick in front of the snapping maw of Leaper. 

“Let’s go.” Ori doesn’t need to kill this guy is harmless and he would feel. Tyr doesn’t care what happens. Ori is in charge of guarding the carriage. Tyr usually kills any bandit as they are nuances to him. Driving off with Salome running ahead to hunt some forest creature, Tyr continues towards Hoshi village. 

The boy moves to attack Ori. Swinging his toothpick at Ori and Leaper. “Don’t turn your back on me!”

Ori twists Leaper about, smacking the butt of his lance to the soft head of the forest hoodlum, knocking him down. Rolling around on the ground, the boy tries his best to not cry. 

“Ouch! I get you for this.” The boy, rubbing his aching head, bolts south. A note that has fallen out of his pocket flies into Ori’s face.

“declined!” Ori has no intention of doing a mission right now. The reputation gain alone from the missions he is doing with Tyr makes this worth it. On top of that, he is earning additional rewards and learning from one of the best in the guild. Catching up quickly, he goes back to the guarding mission. Taking out random forest wolves and the trinket obsessed forest Imp’s. 

It will take over eighteen hours to arrive in Hoshi from Persis…

SKY Ocean Hunter sprays a load of water at his apothecary kit. He slithers to the top deck of the Typhoon leaping off into the Ocean. He needs a few hours to relax. Lucky for him, Tyr has given him the location of the Moon Stone. The forum posted by Tyr posted has blown up even with the hundred thousand credits he used to advertise it. 

The mission they all got must have also triggered for the Space Luminary. SKY Ocean Hunter is most excited because it will unlock all their celestial bodies. The three innate talents are crazy strong and will help with the part he is struggling with most raising his lifestyle class.

It’s quite impressive.” Styx has let Solkor SUN Striker read the leader’s bio on the recommendation of Tyr and SKY Ocean Hunter. Solkor SUN Striker will have to earn a position in one of the Chapters. Even with two recommendations from leaders, some things can only be earned. 

“Yeah, they are even outclassing me on the production classes. It’s quite shameful.” SKY Ocean Hunter colours show he is genuinely embarrassed. Solkor SUN Striker raises an arm and they rub scales.

“You ready?” SKY Ocean Hunter is about when Solkor Sun Striker teleports them into the library of Andira. In the ocean, their classes give them a bonus in water. SKY Ocean Hunter’s is better since it is anybody of water, while Solkor SUN Striker only gets from the ocean. 

“Can you wait? I’m not sure how long it’s gonna take?” The relationship between him and Solkor SUN Striker is steadily improving. The way the guild operates still lets Solkor SUN Striker have his freedom. 

“Yeah, no worries. The materials you guys brought back from is even useful to me and my lifestyle.” One of the duties of the Sea Gods inheritor is to create Ocean Pearls. His lifestyle class is all about their creation. Creating the pearls channels the ocean god’s energy, giving them a random blessing. He is exploring some methods that should yield smaller, more powerful pearls. The simplified process requires much better magic control from him.

He just never put it together until Tyr described the Moonstone. The Crescent Potion Book has a crescent moon shaped stone chained to it. Only by absorbing that stone can one take the book. When he heard the story, he was sure that it was how to gain a special class. 

This time he has the qualification to take the book. The book floats in its own special display case. The book still as magnificent as before. SKY Ocean Hunter starts with the Moon Stone. The crescent-shaped stone dives into his body. Flowing through his scale, positioning itself under his right eye.

SKY Ocean Hunter can feel an internal resonance with his water element growing. He feels even stronger in the water. His body also seems stronger. It glows with a power not felt in the oceans since before the gods’ fell. The pulse also signals to other inheritors all over the world. The return of the gods starts with their successors. 

The others all get a tingling feeling that lets them know that SKY Ocean Hunter, just like Tyr, has got his stone. They are closer to becoming real fully realised celestials. SKY Ocean Hunter remarks to himself how strong his class is and how much stronger their enemies are. The ones that have similar type classes or maybe even stronger. His scale shimmer with joy at that for the first time 

[Moon Goddess Potion Book Acquired!]

SKY Ocean Hunter becomes a woman. She finds joy in helping others. She is the inventor of medicines and potions handing them out freely. This is the life of the Moon Goddess before she became a goddess. He knows this instinctively, living her life in a moment. He learns the techniques, of how she worked, the memories becoming experiences that he can. 

The book sits on his side where a normal cleric’s holy symbol would go. Unlike what he thought when the moon goddess was at the height of her power, she worked alongside her brothers. The god of war, had the God of Creation make their sister a moon blade. This weapon contains his third and final requirement to become a fully realised Celestial.

/SKY Ocean Hunter – After the moonstone, I need to find a weapon that the moon goddess used to use.
